Origin $20 off coupon [Expired - EA states they're honoring games]

- Have your CD Keys ready for the accounts you want to merge.

- Start a live chat with EA Support.

- Tell them you want to merge Origin accounts to simplify your life or whatever story you wish to tell them. Make sure to explain that you have the CD Keys for verification.

- Wait until it's done (mine took a half hour).

- Thank your support agent and offer a digital high-five for the help.

- Enjoy.

You can do as many as you want, I guess. As long as your info is the same on all of them.

Where do you get the CD keys from? Can't see anything about them for the games i have.

anyone else ditching steam for Origin? really impressed by how consumer friendly EA is!

I know that you are trolling, but this was a great marketing move by EA and they must have won a few players to their service increasing the number of users. I don't buy the " oh, we didn't know that the code was open" bullshit.

Still no buying your shit EA, or installing Origin but nice try.

Glad we get to keep our games. One of my 3 was the first in a trilogy, so they could be seeing an additional 2 sales from me in the future.

Same here. I'll definitely pick up FIFA 13 at some point simply due to how much I'm enjoying FIFA 12 that I got from this past weekend. I'm also getting a kick out of Sims 3 so I'll probably pick up the remaining expansions at some point. EA did good by not banning accounts. I could understanding removing the games, but if they had banned folks that would have sent me right back to the "No Origin" camp. Now they have a more folks using their service, seeing their sales and in all likely hood buying their games.

Got a pretty decent haul, and at least they finally got me to download Origin, so I'm sure I'll be making actual purchases in the future.

Mirror's Edge, C&C Red Alert 3 + expansion, C&C Tiberium Wars + expansion, Simcity 4, Spore, Mass Effect 2.

I'm actually more inclined to buy Mass Effect 3 on Origin now that I have the first 2 games. When it goes on sale...

I guess I shouldn't have been out camping and car shopping all weekend and scored some free games.

Got back and this was over.

Hmm I saw this too late, would have cleaned them out if I wasn't buried in Borderlands 2 all weekend.

I don't understand why I didn't get an e-mail about this promo, or any of the previous promos. It should be the same account as my old Battlefield 2 account shouldn't it?

Did you check the box to allow EA to spam you with news

I get bombarded constantly

Hell I was doing the trick, went to e-mail later on, found said survey, laffed for a few

Oh I didn't realize I had to opt in. Hmm well that explains it I guess.

And it turns out I definitely do have an Origin account -- I just tried my e-mail and my usual password and there's definitely an account here that was created in 2007, which must be for Battlefield 2. How spammy do they get if I check this box?

The people who take advantage of this are basically pirates.

Lol. And people that make comments like this are dicks.

Fuck off.

Given that the survey led to a single universal code, and the timing of that Slickdeals "exclusive" sale, I wouldn't be surprised if EA actually expected to be giving away free games.

Occasional, every few days, if not constant reader, it builds up over time

If you mixed in with a more than few EA titles, then the up-tick becomes a little spammy

The in-game version of GFWL is worthless. Nothing ever works and the error messages it gives you aren't indicative of the error. Just go to xbox.com and make a free account there. If you need to patch GFWL I think you can do that outside of a game too.

The in-game app sends you to the xbox.com/live website and the website itself is giving me an unknown error at step 2... smh... Just tried to make it again and "There was an error creating the Microsoft account, please try again later." Awesome.

Each game I've tried hasn't updated itself, plus I've had to input my origin account details when I booted the games. I don't think EA gets it.

dumb? just plain jealously.

But it's dumb to be so jealous of other people that you'd give up your one game just so some random person get their 20 taken away. I only got one game, I would have gotten more if I knew you could, but I didn't and it's all good. Don't hate, celebrate.

Of course EA will honor the codes. I'm sure the people in charge of Origin are ecstatic that their service is in the news and people are actually using it.
