LOL HE MADE A TOPIC ON THE WRONG SIDE LET'S ALL MAKE "JOKES" LOLOLOL SO FUNNY

Anyway, I never bought Minecraft, but I was considering the 360 version. It's nice to see they're still supporting it rather extensively. How gimped is it compared to the PC version still?

I was waiting on this, very nice that they just announced last night that it pass cert and was coming today too.

My son just got hooked on this so he'll be thrilled. Just started playing with him the other day and don't think either one of us completely grasps the full extent of what can be done in this game. Is there a good idiot's guide to this somewhere?

So the Adventure Update finally comes to the 360.

Now the game is more like its PC brethren presently is, then. Obviously with some differences (no jungles, no cats, I believe the more-stupid AI remains, no emeralds, no trading), but still, not too bad.

My daughter and all her little friends will be incredible happy. I couldnt believe it sold 4 million copies on 360 until I saw how into they all were. For months.

Another game I gave up on my hard drive when I sold my 360. Glad I own one again. Had way too much invested to just drop it. Looking forward to spending more time with this and the updates.

Improving the game and adding stuff makes it less fun for you? :/

This update is basically like a bunch of free DLC. Cant see how that would make anyone unhappy.

Well Team Fortress 2 got worse after hats and upgrades so just adding more stuff isn't always a good thing.

Not saying it's a bad thing in Minecraft 360 though. Just that more stuff doesn't always automatically mean a better game.

Parent-GAF checking in. My daughters love this too. I've been nothing short of amazed at the things they have created in this.

My eldest is the one who told me about the update. I read GAF daily and my 11 year old daughter is breaking gaming news to me. Blew my mind.

Might have to jump back in with this update. I burned myself out in the first month.

It's getting updated to the point where I didn't find it fun anymore. Oh well, I haven't touched it in ages.

Don't ever change, GAF.

I love that they kept supporting the game, but when they started adding in more combat mechanics and NPCs and that stuff, I found it far less enjoyable. Maybe that's just me.

I'm assuming it's not the "Adventure" update, as I see no notes about XP. This is a very nice list of updates, but I'm waiting to jump back in when the adventure update hits with XP, leveling, etc..

Love this game, but I hate having to start over, when updates roll out.

Warning - not sure how/why, but I had a fair few worlds littering my menu (three dif. tutorial worlds), and when I set about deleting them, rather than the selected world, a (seemingly) random entry was deleted.

I lost my main world, which had seen a LOT of time and effort spent within it, both by myself and friends.

It might not be a bug, and just an exceptional circumstance, but be careful either way chaps.

Very unhappy at the moment.

This thread has blown my mind. I had no idea that kids are hooked on this. Would have never guessed. Pretty cool though to hear.

At nearly 5 million sold and going strong, someone's playing it. I got addicted to it as well, but nothing at all like my daughter and her friends. They'd rather play this than Pokemon. I was surprised.

I was at a sports bar a few weeks ago watching football and there was like a 13 year old kid sitting at a table that was playing Minecraft on his little tablet for about 4 or 5 hours, only stopping to eat and use the bathroom.

I haven"t played Minecraft for a month or so, but I'll be going back to check this update for sure. I'm not sure I like the idea of hunger though.

It's a little annoying, admittedly, and basically requires that you have a farm of some kind of food substance (ideally cows/pigs, with a wheat farm to allow you to breed them and make more cows/pigs to offset the ones you slaughter for meat). However, if you're good about keeping it at maximum at most-all times, you'll perpetually have health regeneration, meaning an accidental brief brush against a lava stream won't spell certain death. (Landing in a pool of the stuff is another matter, depending on how easy it is to get out of it.)

I feel the hunger meter was essential to Minecraft evolving beyond a mere Lego like tool.

There was very little "point" to the game other than building, and if thats what you like admittedly Creative mode is superior anyways and thats probably why they made that... for those that would not like the new hunger meter

I mean before hunger you could "win" at minecraft by just digging down 3 blocks and putting a block of dirt over your head. With the hunger meter you cant just plunk down and do nothing, even nights are more dangerous because if your not paying attention and your health gets low and your stuck inside a small house at night, it can get intense as your health bar slowly decreases
