Mostly just being able to configure/control the PC entirely with a controller. In SteamOS, I can change display settings, audio settings, power/sleep settings, toggle HDR, connect BT devices, etc all without needing a mouse or keyboard at all. You can also multi-task (eg run/manage Discord from within SteamOS) as well.Fair enough. I was generally just talking about how the games play rather than the UI, but now I'm thinking I'm making some poor assumptions. Are there benefits to launching straight into the Steam interface versus running Steam normally from the desktop like one would do on PC other than for HTPC purposes?
AFAIK you can't do those things even in 'regular' Steam Big Picture mode. Granted, I'd have no real need to do that if I was sitting at a desk but it's a godsend for the living room.
