Can someone let me know the names of the other two who made it through on team Demi? All I know was Janel Garcia (she's soooo hot) and Willy Jones. I hope Cece didn't make it, because even though she is hot, she has been made out to be a bitch thanks to x-factor's editing. i'm not sure if she's a bitch irl, but at the very least x-factors editing team has been able to make her come across as arrogant trash.
Jillian was cut. CeCe/Paige both made it.

tough year for the
rappers. the teen and young adult rappers were both eliminated then. Also, I bet Jillians elimination by Demi was the toughest for obvious reasons.
It kinda worked out in a bizarre way- Jillian/Nick are now dating.

Don't think there is one till next week, it will be on Tuesday (last night's episode), Wednesday and Thursday I believe.
The re-run will be the only episode next week. The show is returning on November 1st.

Ok fuck youtube and Michael Slezak. Swore I would not get involved with this series......now hooked.
Anyways. Really like Jason Brock and Janell Garcia. I think watching them could be a lot of fun. Also like the two 13 year old girls who both had great judges home performances....however, in general I think 13 is too young so cannot root for either of them. I actually don't mind CeCe either....though she won't win.

I thought it would be cancelled too lol.
My guess.....the rise of 1D. Showing that these shows can still make megastars and hoping that the 1D fame can rub off on the show. I only started watching this season after I fell in love with 1D.
Also this is from Simon Cowell not the network. So probably renewed but not official yet.
He's got confirmation from Fox.
The ratings aren't the best, but the demographics are very, very good for advertisers.

Yeah I don't much care either way...just happy its back.
(also very good sign for Idol...who has maintained its rating lead with similar Demo's and HAS to be much cheaper to produce than X Factor)
The Voice can go fuck itself tho.

My thought as well. I really do expect the Voices ratings to be down significantly next season if not sooner. Maybe Fox expects that and are hoping to outlast them? (I never liked the Voice.....I feel like it doesn't even try to make its artists successful....plus it comes off as old for me)
..and yes it is Fox's #1 show. Though its profitability is in question. This is well illustrated by it getting pushed to the side for MLB....something that would never happen to Idol.
My guess..... Cowell took a steep paycut to keep the show going. Next season will NOT have a 5 million dollar contract (I don't think the larger number means anything to viewers). Britney will of course be gone.....replaced with a cheaper judge. Perhaps a rising star?

I doubt we'll see Britney and her 15 mil salary back next year, and thank god for that. Chick is scary in HD.
Demi is too cute though and cheap. Really not sure how I'm gonna feel about Mario Lopez and KK hosting. Can't possibly be any worse than that douche from last year though.

I have a soft spot for Demi. She is actually a fairly good singer when she tries. I doubt she is back though.
As to hosts. As much as I complain about Seacrest he is the only host I can stand.....they all annoy me.

I was hoping Cat Deeley would get the gig since it's off-season for So You Think You Can Dance. Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian sounds like a surefire trainwreck.

I didn't even know they were going to be the hosts until today, UGH!! I love Cat, she would have been great. I thought Steve Jones was fine, not sure why he got fired.
Lol. The Voice is producing ratings on par with or better than season's past for half the budget. While Flop Factor's ratings continue to plummet with no relief in sight and is generally considered to be Fox's biggest financial misstep since Terra Nova. But yeah, it'll outlast The Voice.

I would agree if it wasn't for two back to back seasons with different judges. That is a misstep that is going to cost The Voice dearly imo.

Thats actually what kept me away from X Factor so far (yet to watch a full episode....I catch up on youtube). The fakeness and staged scenes are terrible. However, while I have different issues with the Voice they are just as severe.
Plus. Truth be told I really do watch the shows for the success stories. The Kelly Clarkson's, Carrie Underwood's, 1D's, etc. I really don't think the Voice's format is capable of producing results......which just kills the buzz.
I never expected Britney to stay lol she does have a clause in her contract where she can leave with her check. In favor of it

X-Factor's actually produced viable recording artists (who L.A./Simon get a cut of.)

I actually haven't minded her as a judge yet (waiting for live shows) and I hardly consider X Factor US a disaster. Its just hard to compete when Idol is around. In the UK X Factors success was facilitated by the end of pop Idol at the same time.

Doesn't explain The Voice's continued good ratings past the audition rounds. Also, give it time. I do think Voice has the potential to produce an artist, but it's the youngest format of all these shows, so I don't think it's fair to hold it against their record yet. Besides, the important thing is resonating with television audiences, which Voice has achieved. A bankable star will come in time.
XFactor has to work on being an entertaining show before we'll get a star, in my opinion. Hopefully they'll address the issues with the show (editing, judges panel) instead of increasing them 10-fold like they did season 2.

Eh I think the Voice just depends too much on the novelty factor. From the auditions with the silly chairs to the beyond stupid "battle rounds" I found that by the end of the season i don't care about any contestants. The very premise was flawed in that it implied that by not being able to see the contestants it would make the show better (less than attractive people have had no problems getting on Idol and having success in the past).
I also really doubt its hit making ability because of this simple fact. Even flop idol winners generally sell hundreds of thousands of singles and get big publicity + Idols live tour exposure (which comes with a hefty paycheck). So every idol gets a "chance" to make it. The Voice has no equivalent. Even Levine has come out and said that their efforts at promoting their contestants have been pub par.
