Best thing I saw at the Texas - Baylor game:

I didn't know NP had cleavage like that. Thats a boner maker.

Now that I got everyone all fired up I actually have a question. Flying into OKC thurs night and have heard differing opinions on whether to head down to Norman Fri or party in OKC and head to Norman Sat morning. Heard traffic can be pretty brutal on gameday

Help me out OU fans

Norman is like 20 miles from OKC, so I wouldn't really worry about traffic.

See. this is why I like CFB Gaf.

Most of us are well aware of our respective programs successes and faults/short comings.

Agreed. Even the Aggie fans aren't delusional!

That's certainly true. I would think Kentucky as a whole is good for recruiting, no?

And yeah, if you can't get any marquee OOC games, that's a problem I guess. There has to be someone out there somewhat respectable that is willing to do an even series.

Well, we had Oregon State and Kansas State, but a few years ago. Those sure would have looked good right now as opponents. We had North Carolina this season and last season, even though we weren't even slated to play them. The original series was against Georgia, but ESPN paid off Georgia's buyout to stick them with a season opener against Boise State last year. And then set up up with a team that can't even make a bowl.

Some of it is our own issues, others is out of control. It definitely can be said that ESPN sure as hell is calling a lot of these shots, they've made sure we couldn't play Georgia at least.

So, I remember back in the pre-season there being talk of possibly 9 Pac 12 teams being bowl eligible this season, and with the season winding down I thought I'd take a look at where the conference stands in this regard.

Pac 12 teams that have already qualified:

Oregon 7-0
Oregon State 6-0
USC 6-1

All 3 of these teams will go bowling, the only real question is which one. They all probably want BCS bowls but of course that's not possible.

Pac 12 teams that will almost certainly qualify:

Stanford
Arizona State
ucla

All 3 of these teams sit at 5 wins. ASU and ucla play this weekend so one of them will qualify this weekend, the other will have to wait at least another week. ASU still has a home game with WSU and a road game with Arizona both of which are winnable. ucla has Arizona at home and WSU in Pullman as easily winnable games. Stanford gets WSU and Colorado in the next two weeks before facing the two Oregon schools. A lazy prediction would be to say Stanford finishes 8-4, the winner of this weekends ASU/ucla game finishes 8-4 and the loser goes 7-5.

Pac 12 teams that will just barely qualify:

Arizona

The Mildcats have winnable contests against Utah and Colorado, but these are almost must wins as their other 3 games are a bit tougher against USC, ucla and ASU. Still, Dick Rod's squad only needs 2 wins in its final 5 games to get bowl eligible.

Pac 12 teams that would need a miracle to qualify:

California
Washington
Utah

Cal is currently 3-5 with their remaining 4 games being Utah, Washington, Oregon and Oregon State. Utah and Washington are very winnable but knocking off one of the Oregon schools currently seems like a pretty tall order at the moment. Things can change though! That Nevada loss just hurts more every week. Washington actually has a slightly easier road over their final five, their final five features Colorado, Utah, WSU and California, four teams that if the Huskies want to be upwardly mobile they have to beat. Unfortunately for them 3 of these games are on the road, a factor to not be overlooked. The margin for error just seems to slim, but the possibility is still there. What's important to note here, is that it is almost impossible for both of these teams to become bowl eligible without one of them knocking off Oregon St.

Fake Edit: After looking at Utah's remaining schedule I've realized they still have a shot at a bowl if they can win 4 of the last 5. They have 3 home games and their two road games are UW and Colorado both of which are within the realms of possibility. Its entirely possible that people might be sleeping on the Utes but they could still make a bowl.

Pac 12 teams whose only role left is spoiler:

Colorado
WSU

Colorado already has 6 losses and has yet to play Oregon or Stanford. Wazzu isn't eliminated from bowl contention just yet, and even if they lose to Stanford this weekend they won't be fully out of it. Still, to make a bowl they'd have to win their final 4 which would include road wins over Utah and Arizona State. Its certainly doable, but I haven't seen much from the Cougits this year to make me believe they can do it.

Anywho, final recap 3 teams already going to bowls, 3 more that are almost 100% going, 5 more that have a shot but less margin for error and 1 team that is almost certainly done.

USC, Oregon and Oregon State are all playing to not be the team who goes to the Alamo Bowl right now. My gut feeling right now is the conference only gets 7 teams in. 8 would be nice though.

Norman the night before is gonna be mostly college crowd, I would do OKC unless you have friends down there or you're still in school yourself. Bricktown in OKC is easy and there's lots of bars. Then Sat morning head down to norman early to tailgate and troll the bars on campus corner. Gameday will be there if you care about being part of that, but I would definitely get there early either way cause traffic is terrible. But like Cashman said, the distance isn't far, Norman is only about 20-30 min south of OKC, but it can get congested close to game time.

Having a kid probably helped.

Oh yeah forgot about that. God she is so still so hot.

OU fans will tell you to get their early, but being early is a sooner's tradition.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State's offense was dealt a major blow Monday when coach Jimbo Fisher announced senior Chris Thompson would miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

I feel really terrible for this guy, Season ending injury. When last year he also had a season ending Back injuring that looked to be more like a career ending one.
Plus it was his birthday the day it happened :(

"Only a miracle can save the Bears now!"

Too bad the Stanford Band won't be around for our remaining games.

Speaking of bands, the UT band is the worst. I swear, they never play -anything- interesting. It's all old, tired, bullshit. I did hear them practicing some Kanye one day on campus but it sure as shit has not translated to any of the home games.

FSU/Duke spread is 27... Why the hell do they keep giving us these extremely generous spreads...

I don't think you'll have much trouble covering that. Part of me hopes Cutcliffe just punts this game in favor of a more reasonable and attainable upset bid vs Clemson

We should cover, but remember, this is Florida State. And Duke's actually not that bad. Granted, we should cover, but I'll be super surprised if we do by 27. Duke's still in the race to win the Coastal.

Also, with Chris Thompson's injury that takes him out this season and his injury that took him out last season, would he be eligible to return next year? I want to think this is a possibility.

Does not compute.

You can't respond to someone talking about the Stanford Band and say "Speaking of bands, [something other than the Stanford Band] is the worst." It just doesn't work.

You fooled him by using the word "band" out of context but in connection with Stanford.

Besides, everyone knows that only Bluemax is entitled to criticize bands. I don't know how much you know about Band culture, but he is an expert.

The best bands are in the SWAC. They come with a deadly price though in the case of Florida A&M and Texas Southern's band.

The Marching Chiefs are pretty badass -- I wanna hear some Game of Thrones, UT! The Marching 100 (FAMU) was amazing.. shame about what happened.

I love that Marshall is being all salty. Intentionally using the old UCF logos in some official promotions and their local paper referring to us as our previous name. They certainly know what pisses us off!

Looking forward to that Marshall-Florida Tech game!

I don't remember the point when it happened but sometime a few weeks ago I became a full on believer in KSU. I thought their record last year was inflated by some luck and bad play by their opponents but they've just kept that train a-rollin'.

It's a highly ranked matchup this weekend but I think Tech is still playing with house money because while there are people out there that think that Tech CAN win there aren't many that think they WILL win. So long as we don't get blown out I think the effect of losing on our ranking won't be too big.

The loss of TE Jace Amaro against WVU was VERY evident in the TCU game (not to mention our two best speedy field stretching WR in Bell and Marquez, also both hurt last week and out for the season). I'd feel a lot better if we had one of those three guys back because each of the three would add a new dimension that the offense doesn't have. Amaro may be back later this year but I'm not expecting him before the bowl game.

WTF?

Amaro, according to Tubs today is "day-to-day" and "still bruised up" and they are waiting for the medical staff to clear him. He's participated in everything, and was in the Sun. meeting, so I'd expect to see him in this game--next game at the LATEST. Where are you getting the idea that he's gone 'till the bowl game? Dude even made the trip to Ft. Worth last week.

At least the ACC suspended that UNC player who laid a cheap shot on Duke's WR.

Georgia Southern regained the #2 ranking. Home field advantage for the playoffs is now a possibility which is good since I'll always pray we never have travel to the Fargodome again.

Looking forward to that Marshall-Florida Tech game!

Fun fact, I bought a FTU Citronaut shirt last week. UCF has been bring that mascot back in social media a little bit and on advertisements on school shuttles in prep for the 50th anniversary celebrations for the school coming up next year.

It's more the Golden Knight/old logo stuff that doesn't deserve to even be called throwback.

Behold the Citronaut! Just noticed he has hives or more realistically the herp derp down there.

Now if only you guys could fix your shitty traffic around the stadium. :P

Sucks that the cheapshot happened, even worse there was no flag, but I'll be damned if this isn't about the best outcome you could ask for.

I think the refs got suspended because they lied about it. Cutcliffe asked the ref what happened, he didn't see it happen, the ref said Shakeel Rashad bumped into Conner Vernon by accident, he was turned around getting a play from the sidelines. If you saw the video in the other thread, you know thats a huge crock of shit.

Now maybe the side judge was focused on the ball and just missed it too, entirely possible. Even then, why make up such a lie?

I long for the day that John Swofford resigns as ACC commissioner and we get someone with NO conference affiliation.

Not from that game, those were from 2 other games (FSU/Miami, about not calling the 10 second mark off before halftime) and a small college game.

Nope (they got a letter of reprimand). From yahoo sports "Also, head linesman Tyrone Davis and side judge Angie Bartis were each suspended one game "for failure to adhere to correct mechanics of the game and rules related to player safety"

Yep, they got 2 from the Duke-UNC incident also. Suspended refs from 2 games.

ESPN said:
Rashad appeared to intentionally nail Vernon during a substitution in the second quarter Saturday night. Head linesman Tyrone Davis and side judge Angie Bartis have been suspended one game for missing the call.
