Obama is firing on all cylinders here. Easily better than Debate #2.

I don't think Romney is doing badly enough that we're going to see a tangible drop in his polls, but to say he's winning this takes some serious mental gymnastics.

He's being taken to school in every way possible here.

I agree with Obama that both candidates are pretty much saying the same thing. What I've been thinking so far through this debate.

Wow, Obama is doing so well right now. This seems like the reverse of Debate #1. Romney is doing what Obama did the first time and Obama is going what Romney did the first time. Except Obama is throwing actual facts and truth.

But rambo helped the taliban!

This is a pretty severe smackdown. I mean, this is an amazing answer. How do you follow up on this if you're Rombot?

This tendency to worry about politicians being aggressive or 'disrespectful' to one another is a curiously American impulse. It's a bloodsport. Don't ask people to feign politeness or courtesy. Especially when Mitt Romney is flailing like he is.

Watching the debate on BBC with the smart commentary from the Live Text correspondents makes me a sad panda for American tv.

Obama doing great. Clear & presidential.

They keep saying the same thing back and forth!

Reminds me of when my friends have an argument over something they agree on... just saying it different.

Mittens is kind of stuck in a catch 22. Either come off as a bloodthirsty warmonger if he says we go to war, or he's stuck with not offering anything new.

Romney is giving Obama time by being so simplistic. Obama is having to explain things to the nation and Romney can't interrupt a President when hes doing that.

Total 180 over the course of these three debates.

1st debate - Romney going hard, Obama sleeps.

2nd debate - Both go hard, Romney begins to weaken.

3rd debate - Obama going hard, Romney calls bully.

The whole Syrian thing is a farce. We jumped all over Libya over the threat of violence. Meanwhile Assad slaughters women and children and we sit here saying if it takes a few more years we can keep talking.

Unfortunately our hands are a bit more tied in regards to Syria - both Russia and China are opposed to our intervention.
On top of that, the population of Syria is ~4 times that of Libya.

We want our politicians to be nice but strong, aggressive yet friendly, Ivy league educated yet some you can have a beer with, Superman yet Batman.

It's okay, us poor americans can just rely on GAF to tell us what to think about the debate.

Yeah, they're both saying the same thing. Surprised they haven't moved since they have pretty much come to a consensus on this issue.
