Medal of Honor: W looks better in still screenshots than it does in motion.

Battlefield 3 is still a better looking game overall and a far better example of the engine.

If I had to name one of the most uncomfortable moments of my entire experience in the military, flying on any military transport with full gear on would be near the top.

Just seeing that picture gives me nightmares, ugh. Cramped like you wouldn't believe. Can't move for hours and hours and hours, too uncomfortable and tight to sleep. Then all the sweat from underneath the body armor begins to just sit there for hours and smells. ROFL, it's horrible.

All the people are like "OMG SO COOL!". See if they would be singing the same tune 4 hours later if you strap them in, hand them a Flak Jacket with SAPIs, an M16, and a Kevlar helmet.
 
Yeah I can imagine. That Globemaster is the one that flies supplies into Antarctica, so it just had Air Force guys in it. I think they fly from NZ to Antarctica and back once a week or so, a few hours each way. I was talking to the pilot and he said the hardest part was landing on the white runway, in white surroundings, with a white horizon... must be fun.
 
Wow, Warfighter looks beautiful in those shots.

Them Iron Sights are Godly.

I know WW2 games are so talked down upon these days, but man... I'd love to have a "next-gen" WW2 FPS.
And go back to the simplicity of CoD and CoD United Offensive online multiplayer.
 
Thumbs up, that looks amazing! The suit looks way more rusty than usual.

Here's the thing with SweetFX. It really sweetens games that already look good. Unfortunately, you can't sweeten something that already taste like shit no matter what. Also, another trick is to not overdue settings because you will eventually lose balance in your settings. Hence why I like it for minor stuff only on good looking games.

It's very easy to do stuff like : change dark colors only (shadows for example) while keeping the same lighting on white colors and midtones. You can basically have the constrast you want and colors you want. All up to users.
 
Seems hit or miss. It no doubt makes Fallout look better (though you could achieve an even bigger leap with a well configured ENB). But i'm not feeling it in Dead Space, it seems like it wrecks the colour choice there. Downsampling would reduce those jaggies even more as well.

Well yes I may have went a bit too far with removing green/yellow tint otherwise it's pretty much the same colors... Yea downsampling do wonder in Dead Spaces. I'm sacrificing some pretty 60 fps for some pretty sharpness instead. Can't get enough sharpness!

Unlike Fallout 3 and Human Revolution, I never got the feeling that Dead Space's color filters were overbearing*. Options are nice and all but I think it looks worse.

Then again, I don't have comparison shots. Rose-tinted glasses and all.



*clarification: The color grading is very apparent at times but I think it only helps. I like how the color fades when you go into zero-G, for instance. Half-Life 2 is another game that handles this well.
 
I've been playing Portal 2 again, my favorite game of last year. It definitely takes a more "minimally refined" approach to its art, but it's no less effective. Good stuff.

Actually, I think it looks great! Very nice and clean. It's nothing at all like I remember Dead Space looking like, which in my mind is no bad thing (but then, I like changing the entire aesthetic of games I play to suit my tastes).
