FvF was supposed to have 7 as well, until Jame's injury borked everything up. (And cost Cirie a win.)Yeah, I forgot that China and Gabon had juries of 7. It's weird, though, because every other season with a Final 3 has had 9.

Trying to avoid spoilers but when does CBS put the episode online?
Skupin's edit is brutal. Wonder who he pissed off in production.
Not only that but she's a perfect 6-0 in casting eviction votes (although the fact they've all been unanimous votes this season kind of makes that a foregone conclusion).Amazing that Denise survives another vote.
If the merge happens in the next episode as teased in the preview, Denise will have the "every tribal council" streak in her pocket as long as she remains in the game. A perfect eviction vote record is still pretty unlikely but with Tandang so consumed with the idea of cutting RC & Skupin, Malcolm in her back pocket and potentially intelligence on the whereabouts of all 3 immunity idols if that plays out, she's got openings to exploit. For some reason, I really dig the idea of Calabaw going on a perpetual losing streak and Denise slipping through unscathed while participating in (and as of right now) casting votes for the person who gets their torch snuffed while attending each and every tribal council for the ENTIRE GAME. To borrow a word from next week's Survivor preview, that would indeed be "unprecedented". Nobody in Survivor history has attended every single tribal council in a season (besides Probst) let alone cast a majority vote in each one. That would build up quite a resume for Denise heading into a final tribal jury vote.
I believe that's a Survivor first as well.Tandang has been immune for like 18 days already lol
Prob immune til merge which is insane.
I'll take the crazy Brazilian over her.The only eyecandy remaining:

Jeff Kent is probably the best somebody to ever play this game, hopefully he makes it far.
Taj was pretty good too, even though she kind of fizzled out once the merge came
did she actually qualify as a "somebody" though? jeff kent is arguably the greatest 2nd baseman of all-time (definitely best power hitting 2b).

Yeah, this season is great. None of those super annoying characters like Cochran and Brandon, actual challenges, "shifting" alliances, I love it. If the merge happens soon I really hope new alliances form and it isn't just one tribe picking at the other.
I hopeNEXT SEASON CAST SPOILER:
The next Survivor is Fans vs. Favs and has already been filmed.
Corrine, Brenda, and Cochran are 3 of the faves.
Next season cast spoilers:
Returnees are Malcolm, Erik R, Cochran, Brandon, Phillip, Francesca (no really), Brenda, Dawn, Andrea, and Corinne

YES! I actually REALLY REALLY love this cast of returning favorites because they have NOT been on the show a 100 million times already. No Russell, no Parvati, no Rupert, no J.T. Thank god! Some of the characters may have been whored out in their respective seasons, but I still think it's a nice cast. Nice balance of lowkey players that had a respectable game vs. the obvious shit starter players returning for viewers (Phillip, Cochran, Brandon). The female choices aside from Francesca particularly seem pretty good in comparison to any other returning season I remember. I love Brenda, already my choice for the person I hope to win.
I'd really like to see them try a single tribe season. Two people can win immunity each comp and everyone goes to tribal. Would be confusing at first with so many people but I can't help but think it would make tribals and alliance's really interesting. If they've done this before I'm unaware, I stopped watching for a few years.
Brandon? Fucking shit. Get the Hantz' off tv.
Yeah, they really screwed that one up. I've played push ball before, but it was with an inflatable ball that didn't have anything to hold on to. Make it out of wicker and a guy can just hang on and lie there with his full body weight. The ball isn't going anywhere. Add mud for poor traction and drained players and this challenge was impossible. I wonder if it was the intention of production to purposely create an impossible challenge.Pretty surprised that they let the challenge fail. They rehearse those challenges meticulously beforehand, so I guess the producers really underestimated how drained the Survivors were. The mud seemed like an unnecessary addition to an already brutal challenge, too. I know it looks good on TV, but it makes the challenge exponentially harder.
This would be crazy haha. The first tribal would have at least 18 votes being cast... just imagining Jeff reading all of them.

With so much crew required in the one place, then the need to change tape constantly, and the effect long challenges had on shooting schedules and the Survivor's welfare, it ultimately caused the end of those endurance challenges. (Which is a shame, quite frankly.
I think they just didn't expect for there to be so much mud.
EW: So, a very unique situation as Skupin offered to lose the challenge (and the food that went with it) in exchange for Penners rice. Kalabaw accepted and you officially gave your blessing to the deal. Two part question: What goes into your decision-making process in terms of whether to allow a deal like that or not? And which tribe do you think got the better end of the food swap?
PROBST: I LOVE deal making. Once I hear a deal being made I stop talking and get out of the way. Then I usually recap the proposed deal for the audience and ask those involved if theyre going to move forward with it or not. Even if the deal gets nixed, the fact that somebody suggested it almost always results in conflict back at camp. Generally speaking, Im good with most deals so long as everybody on the tribe agrees. In this case, the deal actually saved us because that challenge was going to take a long, long, long time to finish due to the amount of mud. I was concerned nobody would ever score and wed have to result to a tie breaker. As to who got the better deal, Im still undecided! I see both sides. Its so easy to backseat drive. I think Skupin had a good idea in trying to wipe them out long term by taking all their rice. The risk is they are too strong for the immunity challenge and they steal momentum and you never get it back. From Penners side, I think his idea also made sense, especially given how little rice they actually had left in their container. I leave this one to the audience.
Yeah, it seemed to lack a lot of logic. They've done this challenge before, albeit with two balls, in the China season. The fact there were two balls meant players were running between the balls, etc, so there was alot more action and it was easier to move them because at one time there was no more than two or three people hanging off it.
And I doubt it was intentional. The production purposely did away with challenges that took more than an hour or so, primarily because of the logistics required in running and filming the challenges. With so much crew required in the one place, then the need to change tape constantly, and the effect long challenges had on shooting schedules and the Survivor's welfare, it ultimately caused the end of those endurance challenges. (Which is a shame, quite frankly. Anyone remember the 13 hour challenge in Australia?!)
I listened to a recap of the latest episode with Brian Corridon and he was saying that sometimes it feels like the production hasn't thought alot of the challenges through, so hmmm?
Yeah, but think of the panic and drama that would go on when they get back to camp. :lol
It would seriously make alliances hilarious and almost everyone would be on their toes the entire time not trusting anyone. It would be near impossible to have a majority ruling alliance and it would creat interesting twists. At least I would think. It would almost have to be better than how three tribes worked out.
