It's pretty amazing how just looking at crowd shots of Romney's crowd at his HQ and Obama's at his, the problem for the Republicans is thrown into sharp relief. There wasn't a single non-Caucasian face in Romney's building. Meanwhile in Obama's, every other face was a minority. This will be the last election where the Republicans tried the White Voter Strategy, because the demographics of the United States isn't going to stop shifting. They will move to the center, or they will perish.

Looking really good so far from the Senate point of view, too. Dems already have 53 seats secured. Nate had the following three races going to the Republicans, but here they stand, still uncalled:

Montana: Dem +11%
North Dakota: Dem +2%
Nevada: Rep +1%

We could end up with 56 seats in the Senate. Awesome.

This one got me.

Really happy about this Presidential election. First time voting and a college student I really felt I made an impact on the outcom of Obama winning.

Anyways social progress will now continue onward for the next 4 years in the US.

I do actually feel kinda bad for him. He doesn't seem like a bad guy. And he achieved a lot in his life, but at the end of the day he'll always be haunted by the failure of the most important he ever tried to do, the same way his father did.

He used to look like an ok guy until I seen the 47% hidden vid....

What are the odds that Obama moves more left now? Any chance that will end the drug war given that he doesn't have to worry about re-election anymore?

The drug war is going to be an interesting topic in the near future I think, with public opinion moving against it.

It's actually a topic that I think Republicans could try beating Democrats to, since it actually fits well with their personal freedom/don't let the government tell me what to do stances. But that's only if they decide to try a new route instead of doubling down on nuttery. :P

Ryan was actually a well spoken guy, seems like he got real quiet after the Biden debate. I agree about your point a Palin, also remember the Repubs stating the same thing, that McCain was more of a leftest and that's why he lost.

I think the problem was he was stealing the spotlight from Mitt amongst the fringe, much like Palin. They had to keep him in the background or else it would turn into Ryan/Romney.

nice job America.

Seems like a pretty decisive victory have speeches been given yet (sorry just waking up)

Yeah, CBS is pretty meat and potatoes straightforward reporting.

This.

I would be perfectly find with fox/msnbc if they had to give warnings before broadcasts that they are partisan.

CNN I just feel bad for since the last 5-10 years they have been in a quality free fall desperate for ratings.
