he seems like a pretty bad guy

Yeah with everything we've heard about what he said and did since he became an adult, Mitt Romney seems like a despicable human being and should be the farthest thing from a legitimate presidential candidate. Now he can fade into irrelevancy with all of his money that he won by screwing regular people over or inheriting it from his father and never again be a threat to this country.

Good speech by Romney. I think those of you saying he was dishonest or not classy at all are just emotionally driven at the moment. He comes across as a decent bloke who just loves his country and it's clear to me he respects Obama.

As an Australian though, he just never came across as a person fit to be president. McCain and Obama came across as leaders, not feeling the same with Romney.

He actually was a pretty good Governor of Massachusetts. People forgot so soon that he did a good job of running that state. In the end though, he really chose the wrong party. As a moderate, he was completely wrong for this batshit insane Republican Party.

Eh, Romney is completely lacking in personality and charisma. I'm of the opinion that only the Republican machine could have gotten him this close to the Presidency.

Man abc/cbs are miles better than fox/cnn/msnbc it's not even silly.

I've been watching NBC all night on the big screen, I turned off the Fox News steam on my laptop about an hour ago. They've been solid with lots of good guests. California Governor Jerry Brown was on earlier talking his state up, man does that guy look old now.

2 hours later...Still waiting. If I was there in the audience waitng to come out I would have killed myself by now. Looks like torture standing there listening to corny music and waving a small flag for hours.

It’s time for the people who make this country work to put up or shut up. It’s time to make the deadbeats feel some pain IMHO.

1) Minimize your spending. Take your savings out of the economy and hide it as best as you can.
2) In the same vein, take as much of your economic activity to the black market / cash only market as you can.
3) If you are thinking about closing your business down, go ahead
4) If you are keeping your business running, take a strong look at who you are hiring and firing (ie consider firing minorities and single women)
5) If you are a doctor begin limiting your patients or only take cash payments.
6) If you produce food (farmers) consider reducing your output to drive up prices and help Michelle O. with her fight on fat.
7)Do not associate, coach, elevate, or help in any way those who trend Democrat. This includes charities.
8)If you are working hard to try and get ahead. Stop - enjoy your life and family while you still can.
9) Do not associate with liberal bastions such as schools, colleges, and the entertainment industry. Consider homeschooling your kids.
10) Move to a red state and start pushing for secession.

Well gotta find that scapegoat. I think Palin actually did loose it for McCain. Paul Ryan was sort of neutral IMHO. But I wonder where the blame will fall tomorrow.

Anecdotal, but my wife is republican. She doesn't like Obama but hated Ryan. Said he gave her creeps. Voted against Akin because of rape comments. She is not perfect but I love her. :)

Ryan was actually a well spoken guy, seems like he got real quiet after the Biden debate. I agree about your point a Palin, also remember the Repubs stating the same thing, that McCain was more of a leftest and that's why he lost.

I thought it was the most uninspiring speech you could imagine. This is a genuine concession speech. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=GyKlcQ_HiD4&desktop_uri=/watch?v=GyKlcQ_HiD4

So Obama is president, the Senate is D (but not past 60), and the R still control the house. So basically, not a damn thing has changed tonight.

Gay marriage and marijuana laws have been passed, some exceptional shitheels have been kicked out the legislature, the supreme court will continue to get sane judges, and Puerto Rico is on the road to statehood.

Laura ingram: "a divided nation".

Silly Laura, just because people vote for ether party doesn't mean that they are a divided nation. It's much more complicated.
