A campaign that is good? Well fuck me.
Really, the campaigns are always pretty good as long as you don't mind they're short and super linear.

It's completely understandable, we've had plenty of horde modes this generation. I never understood the infatuation with them in the first place (to the point that now even Dishonored is getting its own horde mode).
What weirds me out is the fact that Jeff apparently thinks the CODBLOPS2 singleplayer campaign is "impressive". I haven't played it yet (will in the next few days), but from what I've seen so far in the Quick Look I'd be hard pressed to point out anything interesting. Especially after playing the fantastic Halo 4.
Judging a campaign based on a bit of the first mission seems like a pretty reasonable thing to do.
Reading the campaign impressions in other threads, it doesn't seem like this iteration deviates too much from the tried and tired Call of Duty formula. Jeff being down on the Halo 4 singleplayer because it is, in his opinion, more of the same while only a few days later calling this stuff "impressive" certainly seems very strange.
Where you even listening to what he was describing as impressive though? He wasn't speaking about the narrative itself as much as the actual deviations in question and how they appear somewhat creatively utilised.Reading the campaign impressions in other threads, it doesn't seem like this iteration deviates too much from the tried and tired Call of Duty formula. Dude he hated Zombies in every COD and likes Spec-Ops which is also a horde mode. I always thought that Zombies in COD is at least doing interesting stuff with he base building, changes to the maps, power ups etc.

I still can see the YT version.
I'm guessing ABGroup owns Europe rights or something.
I've got serious deja vu right now.
Is it just me or has giantbombs servers become amazingly slow? I often have trouble streaming their videos now. :/
Your pre-schoolers are both very educated and filthy.Man, the dialogue in Black Ops 2 sounds like it was written by pre-schoolers.
I download their stuff with jdownloader, which almost triples the speed compared to dling straight via browser. Is it just me or has giantbombs servers become amazingly slow? I often have trouble streaming their videos now. :/
Edit : Just saw in the other thread.
Someone tell me that I'm not the only one a little unnerved by a videogame having you follow orders from Oliver North to go to the Angolan Civil War and run across fields chopping off heads with a machete.
Not looking forward to hearing Arthur Gies talk about it, though.
Is Vin Diesel the MP announcer in Blops 2? Sounds like him
Who is the nerdy guy voice in zombies. It sounds familiar as shit.

Seeing an African man's head fly off in a bloody arc as the result of a machete attack was possibly the first time a videogame has prompted me to think to myself "This may be in poor taste."

That quick look turned my stomach on more than a few occasions.
