The way he checks behind him as if he was wondering what he tripped on that sent him flying 20 feet straight up into the air...

Vinny pretty much took the words out of my mouth. "This music is like, we're gonna open the galaxy map pretty soon." or something.
Yeah, it's straight outta Tron Legacy basically.

The villain looks pretty interesting, if not a bit too on the nose, the other dude that gives you the tattoo though looked like pretty average stuff to be honest. Along with that weird VO for the Gun Store lady I'm expecting the game itself to be wildly uneven in terms of quality. Looks pretty though.

I thought he said they don't... really. (some army brother or something). But jeff is only half way through.

Wait this game ain't out yet... nvm.

You might have misinterpreted what they said. The army brother is the guy in the quicklook you sneak with at the beginning. Jeff said they addressed his increased skills and such in a separate part of the video I believe.

Man, I'm sold on Far Cry from the Quick Look. I wasn't even remotely interested before. This hasn't happened since LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption.

Yeah, the same for me - I stopped caring about this game after mediocre e3 presentations and had no idea this is an open world game with assassin's creed influence. I'd probably have no idea if not for GB.

Hahaha, those are the benchmarks for the game with no AA?

That particular benchmark is mislabeled. I think that was the 4x MSAA benchmark. I'll check.

Also, the game is not nearly as demanding when you disable DX11 features. It's actually a good sign when a new game taxes existing high-end hardware, as long as, it scales well by disabling bells and whistles.

Edit:

Yes, that image is for 4x MSAA and Alpha to Coverage anti-aliasing enabled.

Very demanding either way with DX11 features enabled.

High-end is a relative term but I'll try a car analogy that will probably fall flat on its face because I don't know shit about cars.

Their system is like a Corvette.
A GTX 680 system would be like a Porsche 911.
An SLI GTX 680 system would be like some Lamborghini super car.
A QUAD SLI GTX 680 system would be like one of those custom made land speed record breaking cars they drive on salt flats.

Oh, thanks for posting the updated one.

What they showed of FarCry3 looked kind of fun. I mean, it looks like it could get really repetitive for me after a little while, but it still has enough random things to keep it interesting.

Vinny was cracking me up with his constant commands to kill everything.

So far I played like 10 hours of Far Cry 3 Sp and a couple of COOP missions and the game is just great. I did not expect it to be this good. Unlike Jeff though I don't think the game is as weird as he makes it out to be.

Where I do agree with Jeff is that our "heroes" are a bunch of rich douchebags. Seriously developers, pick a group of people that is more sympathetic.
