So '10's GOTY podcast was fine, but a bit boring because the inevitable was so obvious, but I'm half way through '11 and it is striking how less fun and interesting that discussion really was.

To start, they began with way too many games. In all the other ones, they had a smaller set to go through, and as a result, they talked lovingly about pretty much every game. The first half of this is just them going round and round taking turns vetoing games. And, it doesn't help that a lot of the games they are discussing are... well, when you are pushing Catherine or Renegade Ops or Dead Island, it is hard to be interested. And, I think that more than the previous years, there were a lot of "I liked this game" as the basic and sole argument. Maybe it was the games, or the fact that there was an extra person on the bombcast, but the nitty gritty wasn't there, especially compared to the '08 and '09 podcasts. Still 2 hours to go...

Even though there was a load of 'I love this game. But it's not going to win. So let's move on' that podcast still lasted foreeevvveeerrrr.
