Scoops likes Binary Domain??
Looks more like sarcasm to me. Notice the TWIST in caps.
Ironically. This is Giant Bomb.

Everyone should like Binary Domain
I give it shit for its only slightly above average gameplay, but its writing, characters and story are actually really interesting
That might come up.
And it would be yet another layer of how funny their Skyrim GotY was I suppose.
watching robots fall apart is so fun.
it's pretty common for gies to smear groups of people who he disagrees with. i haven't forgotten his vanquish comments where he didn't like the game so concocted a conspiracy where its reviews were only good because biased platinum/clover studios fanboys were desperate to give it high scores to boost their favourite studio and demanded only they review it.
I love shooting off robot limbs, but voice orders are screwy and movement really blows
Was Rorie even let go? Screened still existed after the sale. I was under the impression he and Alex could have stayed if they wanted, but they decided not to. If that's the case he didn't get jack squat.
I just have a lot of memories of boss battles where you'd spend 70% of the time on the floor in a recovery animation and things like that. It doesn't feel that fluid. It's workable though.
Ok, I guess I'm the only person who found the shooting below average. I just really didn't like how many shots an enemy could take.
should've got hit less, hoho!
should've got hit less, hoho!
I'm close to saying this seriously. Though I don't think that is a problem with movement necessarily. The game does have a dodge which you can upgrade and it is not like it is hard to make space between you and your enemies with a handy sprint.
I should really play Binary Domain. Especially since I'm the guy who thought the shooting in Specs Ops was kinda good.

There's a mission where you're heading for the dam or flood control gates or something, there's this giant robot stingray thing and you're constantly being harassed by these smaller flying robots, and occasionally the stingray will launch guided missiles at you. I spent most of that battle stuck on catwalk ledges or being hit by missiles because I kept getting stuck on catwalk ledges.
Ok, yeah, if you think Spec Ops has good shooting Binary Domain will feel like a simulator.
It also has a better story :3
Possible best bombcast ever. This has been a pretty goddamn productive week for almost all of them.the bombcast is going to be so good
Binary Domain, 999, Mass effect 3, jeff talking about Asura's wrath.
That boss in a pain, but a lot of the trouble is alleviated by using the turret I think. I don't know if you were trying to roll in the direction of the ledges or what, but I think the best way to avoid missiles is to just sprint or shoot them down.
My problem with some boss battles (particularly the Tsar Runner) is that they last too long.

the only boss that fucked me over wad the gorilla robot. everyone else was doable.
Nope. It has better characterization and chemistry between characters, but the story did get stupid at points.
How long do they have before Game of the Year deliberations? It seems like they're all cramming as many games into their schedule as possible right now.

I don't hate Arthur the way many people do, but it's clear he can't argue or discuss things without immediately running in circles. Judging by the last Rebel.FM he seems to have developed a massive persecution complex regarding that game as well. He says some pretty dumb stuff there that I'm surprised self-awareness hasn't slapped back into his face like a rubber band as soon as they fell out of his mouth. First he pulls "vocal minority", shortly after he said he's seen hundreds of comments on the issue or some such. Then he flat out says that he can't discuss it any more because he can't help himself but reflexively respond that people who've had problems with it are wrong. Painful to listen to.God damn, I'm not one for caring if someone likes what I don't like (or vice versa), but it really grates on me when people discount others' opinions because of what they think the 'real' issue is.

I think you missed my kitty face, party pooper.
Well it at least seems like there will be a decent and varied representation of games this year, I can't think of too many glaring omissions from their collective "games played" list.
Rorie's Dark Souls written piece and Quick Look were some of the best thing to ever come from Giant Bomb. They could really, really use him right now.
Only one person played through Sleeping Dogs (Vinny) and Dishonored (Patrick).

I'm okay with Rorie but Alex should just vanish from the internet.
