Huh. Has anyone else who played either of those on their Vita had such things happen? If not, I'd wager it might be an issue with your Vita.

It's not rumored. It's confirmed. SCEJ has the PSP Remaster program which is just that, the problem is for some dumbass reason it seems to be only tied for PS3. I suspect they might have a Vita version, but it's not a publicized thing.

More apps are definitely welcome. It can't be stated enough how great the youtube app is.
Also Wake Up Club looks really good from the screens we've seen but I don't like that it has trophies. An app like that doesn't need trophies or you being forced into using it in different ways if you're (slightly) a completionist.

Hell of a gift there. Didn't redeem because I already have it.
That's my only PSP game though. I'm not going to send my Vita in for PSP problems though. Only if I start having problems with the OS or actual Vita games. I'm tired of having refurbished systems all of the time.

Alright I tested out FF7 and did a little more in FF9.
7 runs almost flawlessly. There are a few flickering pixels here and there in some textures but nothing bad and not as much as 9 so far. I did most of the prologue in the reactor there.
I continued 9 from the first save point in Alexandria and there are no purple lines, I must have somehow merged this and FF Tactics PSP in my mind. But there are some areas with a lot of tiny flickering line-like pixels in the environment. It varies in the areas I've been in, some have quite a bit and some may have 1 or 2 very tiny ones. I chalk that up to emulation jank and nothing to really worry about.
I'm really interested in testing more PSP games so hopefully PS+ keeps giving 1 a month out.

All the parties involved must know it's destined for sub-5k sales and are probably just cutting their losses since the game's already been translated/localized before.
What bugs did you run into? What drove me away wasn't bugs; it was the boring gameplay. It made me abandon my PS3 and I've just been playing my vita.
It's a lot of fun. Reminded me a bit of Gish.

Gravity Rush was originally intended as digital only in Europe, but that got changed.
I know about that. As a matter of fact Monster Hunter Portable 3 got remastered last year and has sold like 400K copies. What I'm saying is there may be a engine that let you port a PSP program into a Vita program, more like PhyreEngine let you convert PS3 game into a Vita game.
I didnt want to buy Mutant Blobs at first because it reminded me of Gish >_>

I might consider importing it then, just to have it on a cart. I try to conserve as much space as I can, and I always prefer a cart+box so.
I bet Sony wishes they didn't make Monster Hunter the star of the PSP Remaster program, lol.
I have LBX W on Vita. It's a game also available on PSP, and on Vita it feels like a PSP game. It doesn't use the touch screen, is just a resolution boost with no AA applied, or support for the second analog stick at all, and it doesn't even use Vita's OS native keyboard. It feels like someone just tossed a PSP game into a machine and this is what it spit out.
We dont know for sure, but that would be my best bet as well.
Well of course you're going to remember it looking better than that. Its like that with all games that you haven't played in a long time. When it came out it looked amazing. And don't forget, that tiny screenshot is being GENEROUS for the Xbox version since you would have played it on a much bigger screen, while the Vita screenshot looks worse than it would on the Vita since you'll be playing it on a smaller screen.
Even with that said, one looks way better than the other even in those two screenshots, so I"m not sure what you mean by not seeing a clear winner in that comparison.

but come on forget about PS+ free goodies and buy Persona 4 Golden and Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure(PSP) already

I really would like to do some Santa gifting with you guys, but that game code/region thing is really annoying. I'd like to gift someone a surprise game he doesnt own yet and want one to be gifted! Unfortunate that you cant get gift codes for PS1/PSP games. Lots of goodness to be gifted there.Man, I wish PSN had a steam like gifting option

Ah cool. Well I'd be up for something like that. EU would be a bit more tricky since I am not sure which country have the same codes in Europe :/ But the US gaffers at least, interest in a christmas gifting? I'd say we make a list of people wanting to participate, then randomize who needs to gift to whom and then gift a code of about the price of a $5,99 PS1 classic? (Or more if you DESPERATELY want to gift that $9,99 Vita game)
