Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

I've searched everywhere and tried jumping everywhere, but I'd get teleported back before I could reach the land masses leading to the central pillar. :(

There is absolutely NO reason to go back there. By the time you get out of where it leads you, you see big gems everywhere. There's nothing special there and you shouldn't have a gem deficit either.

I'd say it's more relaxing then boring, but different strokes, ect.
I didnt like it at first, but the more I play it the more I'm feeling confident that it was (just barely) worth the $10.

Though I could just be convincing myself of that to avoid buyers remorse, but whatever.

PSN gave me the refund today. I won't be rebuying it, just because of the negativity I have surrounding the game now. Mixed reviews plus my irritation at the whole "can't play it on my Vita" fiasco? That game can get bent.

I'll try the demo, for the hell of it, but 99% sure I won't be buying it.

More of you people need to buy Surge!

Yes. 3.29 of the 9.99 I received in refund went to this. It's farkin' excellent.

I wanted to just check it out again, examine things more closely and ect.
Ha, that's a reason.

Well, it's good that you got a refund. Give us your demo impressions soon!

Fair enough on the reason.
I just meant you aren't missing anything and most of the gems are 1x value, so you can do a lot better just collecting all the new gems you can see after chapter 17 or so.

I'll try the big sky demo now, to see what if the refund actually deactivated the game on my ps3.

No good!!! Ok I abandoned mission 12, and it seems to have reset it. I'll see what happens...

EDIT: can you replay missions in Gravity Rush?

Yeah, I never really cared too much about gems (since you get access to big ones shortly after that), but I've always enjoyed just going around checking out details and ect of the locations you visit. Especially the ground layouts of the city sections, which are fun to gravity slide through when you get bored of traversing the skies.

No, it's a Z-rated 2 mins flash like game, you wont even remember it after playing one time with it.

do not buy, actually just avoid PlayStation Mobile completely.

I'm actually waiting until the Velocity sequel comes out, but I haven't bought anything on PS Mobile yet.

I really should get to VLR. I've had it sitting here for about 3 hours now but I haven't felt like playing anything today for some reason. One of those blah days.

That's me right now too :(

I've got an unplayed Walking Dead disc in the PS3, a half-finished Pikmin 2 disc in the Wii, a nearly-finished Paper Mario in the 3DS, and newly downloaded copies of Uncharted and Gravity Rush on the Vita, all ready to go, but I'm just sitting here re-reading The Hobbit instead.

Well crap, the proxy setting in the Vita doesn't have an option for username and password authentication. I was kinda hoping of using the 10mb connection at work, oh well....

You get to make your way back up there anyway. It's one of those areas that suggest you need to hurry, but you really don't.

How does a secret Santa work?

Walking dead is a good game for these days because it requires so little interaction or puzzle solving. Just sit back and enjoy the story.

Hmmm, seems that because I unlocked the full game before they pulled it from my download list that I still have it on PS3. :lol

Thanks, Sony!

Big Sky is alright -- if I got it for free, I'd be happy to goof off with it. If it had cost me $10? I'd probably have buyer's remorse.

The graphics are okay in spots and just don't do it for me in others. I like the upgrade your ship after every death mechanic, but the deaths are indeed far too random. Things you can't seen, concepts that don't make sense... the intuitiveness isn't there for me.

At a $10 price point? Even without crossbuy, buy Sine Mora first, it's a much better shmup.

Hell, even the 60 second shooter PSM game might be a better value.

On the Vita alone I need to get through VLR, P4:G, ACIII:L, JSR, and RCR. Then I've got other games like WVA, MBA, LBPV... My PSP/PS1 backlog is even crazier. (TitS, FFVI, FFIX, GEB, FF:D...)

I keep buy game but I never finish game :/

I am fully with Corosive on this one, and unfortunately I bought it.

If only I could harness your hatred and conviction to things I feel actually deserve it.
I'd love to turn you against Uncharted 2, for example. :)

Hmmm, the $5-$10 range kills most Vita/PSP games straight out when using Gamestop I think.

Combine this with my laziness regarding listing out everything I own and I don't know... :-K

Oh god I just bought a Vita. What have I done.

I have actually done the same. It will be here on Wednesday. #YOLO

Gave yourself a wonderful present.
Welcome to the fold.

Ok for anyone who cares, in Gravity Rush, you can get all the gems in the central pillar - the part where you're falling and can't use gravity power - by cancelling the mission once you're finished with the fall. It'll save all the gems that you managed to get and let you restart from the beginning. A couple passes and you should have pretty much all the gems.

Walking dead is a good game for these days because it requires so little interaction or puzzle solving. Just sit back and enjoy the story.

I seriously can't count it as a real "game",it's an interactive show.

and if I want to enjoy stories I'll see movies or TV series with actual good writing/story telling and acting not this Hollywood D-rated copying job.

Damn I wish I knew that when I was up to that part. I missed soooo many gems.

Then again I was still able to get 40k after beating the game and only doing a few gold medal challenges. They really reward exploration by putting those things everywhere.

Cool, thanks for the tip (although it's a bit late for me to do it).

Oh wow. Fuck you toto.

I now refuse to accept anything you say. Everyone wake ignore this person.

Ya it's probably no big deal to max out all your abilities, but here's the problem: gems look so incredibly desirable that if I see one, I must have it. I am physically incapable of flying by and not getting them =P

Nice.
Also, totally agree about Sine Mora. Much better for sure.

Crash Bandicoot 2
Spyro 2
Crash Bandicoot Warped
Crash Team Racing
Spyro 1
Crash Bandicoot 1

None of those work.
I have them all and none transfer.

Probably something else you should note:

Does the giftee have a PS3 so if the game intended for purchase is compatible but requires PS3 for transfer the giftee doesn't have an unmerry Christmas. :)

Whatevs. It gives trophies, and that's all that matters!

it's just one random opinion..and not even about Vita games.

please don't hate me :(

Oh I don't mind you not liking the game, that is absolutely opinion.

But saying things like; it has d grade writing? If you want a story you'll watch a film?

They are just false statements to inflame people.

Yeah, played the demo for Sine Mora and it's much better than BSI. BSI is really bland - I'm kind of baffled the upgrades do so little, they could make the game interesting for a while, but nope.

Also, started AC:L and holy shit, this really is an actual portable Assassin's Creed experience! I keep getting impressed by the Vita.

Should I include a section for Ninja Gaiden beginners explaining the basics and fundamentals of NGS2's combat or should I leave that out
since no one seems to read OTs anymore
?

Thanks! I'll make sure to ask participants.

Story is big part of the games, I love stories in games and don't even skip them even the bad and annoying one, but TWD has no actual gameplay, so I feel better to actually "watch" a real movie than "watching" TWD. (again not talking about games in general here, just TWD..or something like Heavy Rain).

and yes TWD the game has D grade writing/story telling. IMO <----

Ya it looks amazing. I really liked that game. Make sure you read the diary pages as you collect them. It really fills in the story and it's a lot more fun to try to figure out the twists before they tell you. A lot of people complain about the story being confusing, but I think those people probably weren't collecting and reading diary pages as they went.

Also, check your database every time you find Citizen E. He alters your entries.
