Okay, I'm gonna buy Oath in Felghana for $3.74 and if I like it, buy Origin in another sale. Is that a smart thing to do, or should I go for Origin only? I don't think I want to buy both.

You'll want both once you finish Oath. I haven't played Origins yet though, so I don't know if it's better than Oath.

Has anyone played Forge yet? It looks and sounds pretty cool!

Forge™ is an online, class based multiplayer shooter set in a distinct fantasy universe. Forge features only the best aspects of MMO and FPS class based combat to provide a multiplayer gameplay experience unlike anything you've played before. A malicious being named The Devourer has swallowed the great pantheon of gods.

How accessible is Garry's Mod? I love sandboxy stuff that I can just experiment and do dumb stuff with but if the tools have a steep learning curve it's probably not for me.

I've had Oath in Felghana installed for months now and haven't even started it up once. I should probably do something about that.

Ys Origin was dope though. Tick up the difficulty and enjoy them bosses.

ooh, I am tempted by both Ys and Grimrock

but I only have 20 bucks to spend this whole sale

should I pull the trigger?

They're both very good games however, Origin has multiple characters whereas Oath only has 1 so it's a shorter game.

hehe I already own it. ;P
I've got my eye on you...
: )

Going off the sheer amount of content produced through G-Mod, I would have to assume it's very accessible.

Can anyone compare Y's to anything? I'm tempted to gift it to a friend, but I just want to know a little more before committing.

I actually enjoyed Ys Origin more. Didn't really care for the overworld aspect of Felghana.

It's an isometric 3D hack-and-slash JARPG with Metroidvania area progression (based on finding items that allow you to progress into previously inaccessible areas).

Sorted of like an isometric version of Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.

Is there a good racing game on sale? I want Driver San Francisco, Ridge Racer or any of the Dirt games, I'll settle with a good Indie driving game. Thanks

I haven't played Grimmrock so I can't comment on that but both Ys games are fantastic choices.

What is Ys exactly. See GAF folks hyping it up on twitter. More traditional JRPG or...?

Action rpg that's kinda hack and slashy with most of the emphasis on the big boss fights they have.

Grimrock is an amazing game, if you like classic dungeon crawlers. Also, I'd recommend you to grab it from the Humble Bundle, beating the average will give you it (steamworks) and other nice games too.

I've been slowly gathering 25 pieces of a map to find the location of this treasure:

I'll do whatever it takes to roll in this bitch.

PMing code to you now, enjoy!

Ys Origins bought, as well as a Torchlight 2 4-pack for my roommate's birthday. I figured it would be silly to give him the game and keep him from playing with his friends! :P

If you have a wheel and like sims, GTR 2 is an awesome buy for 3.60. Install the Power and Glory 3.0 mod and it's 60s and 70s car porn. But it's a sim. And the graphics are dated. So you're buying it for best in class physics and dem amazing cars.

Oh what the hell, I'll get both Ys and think about which I'll play first later
(in at least 10 months from now)
.

Steam!

Don't wait to play them, seriously, went from a series I'd never played to one of my favorites EVER in just playing Oath alone.

Both Ys' games were very enjoyable games. Not a lot of fast paced action rpgs out there so that sold me alone back during the summer sale. I do not regret it one bit!

As a newcomer to the series, the game really forces you to pay attention to patterns and enemy tendencies or else you will get wrecked fairly quickly. That and not charging into things recklessly.

I already have the other games in the bundle.

So, which is better, Origin or Oath? because I'm not getting more than one
