Batwoman #15 was really good. It was cool to focus on Maggie with everything else going on.
I go now.
You know what i really like comics gaf? Street Fighter 4 and Final Crisis. I'm glad i have a this thread to discuss both of these delights without any negative push back.

Thank god Street Fighter 4 was a 3d game instead of hand drawn sprites. Looked so much better that way.
Street Fighter 4 was great until Super when the roster got too big for me to scrub out win streaks with Honda.![]()
Sent them to you through a PM.
No idea how you avoided the Sagat army.

Now I'll have no one to share in my hate of Street Fighter IV and Grant Morrison's Final Crisis.
Good luck to you though!
If you'll accept me, I'll gladly share your burden of hating Final Crisis.
Truth be told, I've never really liked Grant Morrison. IMHO, his most enjoyable work has been All-Star Superman and even that was mediocre. In fact, I've really tried to like his work with Batman but there's something about his style of writing, that always ticks me off. I've read most of his Batmen, all the way from Final Crisis to his latest Batman Inc. and I've always felt disappointed if not downright aggravated. Don't tase me, bros.

This has probably been asked many, many times, but can someone recommend some good comics podcasts?
And farewell TTOB. Your posts were always interesting even if I didn't always agree. Go draw some awesome comics!
The main thing I hate about Morrison is how he indulges in the batshit insanity of comic's history, putting out the most ridiculous things on the basis that some other author did it at one point for poor reasons or just because he thought of it at some point while he was really, really high.
That's awesome art. It would be funny if they somehow remember Superboy's old costume, the armor probably wouldn't look good on a kid.In my wildest dreams, the Hickman-written Legion would be drawn by none other than Chris Samnee:

Oh, and this version of the Legion would be lead by Superboy:

The best thing I can say about him is that some of the ideas he has are really good. I love Damien as a concept. I love how he reimagined the fortress of solitude in Action comics. But good lord, he needs an editor to pull him in on the majority of his wacky shit.
So DC's next movie after Dark Knight Returns pt.2 is Superman Unbound, based on the Geoff Johns/Gary Frank Brainiac storyline. I hope they go all-out and stay true to Frank's detailed art, but I doubt it.
Just reread it and I think Whedon's run on Astonishing might be the perfect comic book.
Cassaday is breaking my heart with Uncanny Avengers though. I got into comics because of Whedon's Astonishing X-Men and as a bonus loved the art too.

That's really the best part of his Batman stuff, tho.
Please, Morrison isn't fit to hold Moore's jockstrap.
Unabashed Morrison hate? Maybe TTOB had the right idea.
Right? It's like they hate comics. But then they're used to pedestrian manchild nonsense on a monthly basis, and at this point cannot judge merit.
Accept them with love. They know not what they do.
Strange that you give us that designation when you couldn't have more perfectly just described Morrison's work.

May the God of All Comics shine mercy on these poor fools, and the light that shines from his bald head emulate their path.

Now you've proven you don't know what you're talking of.

Really had to stretch for that one huh?
So, who currently writing comics is better in your opinion?
Moore ain't writing shit right now and while you enjoy the current Batman run do you think Snyder is better overall?Really? Wow.
Since he didn't actually counter any of the points I made, and assumed that we were just having a verbal cockfight for shits and giggles. If he really put me on ignore over this, then he's surprisingly sensitive.
I don't see Morrison as the worst writer in comics by a longshot or anything, but I do find him annoying. Rather than wish he'd stop writing, I just wish he wouldn't write what I want to read (Batman) which he is now doing and is going to pull out of DC in total to write his own stuff, which I am happy with.
As for who I consider better, Moore is my all time favorite comic writer. Of whose currently writing, I'm enjoying Snyder's Batman a lot.
Strange that you give us that designation when you couldn't have more perfectly just described Morrison's work.
You read like somebody who hasn't read Doom Patrol. Or Flex Mentallo. Or The Filth. Or The Invisibles. Or All Star Supes. Or We3. Or anything that Morrison has done aside from Action Comics-- a flawed run which still hits highs that are pure comic greatness.

So you'd say only Snyder is better right now? I was expecting more writers since you don't seem to like Morrison very much. Looks like you really haven't read much of his stuff though.Hard to say, since I didn't read Morrison's Batman. I can't make a direct comparison. However, I feel I have a good grasp on his style and tone and method of writing from the works I have read. The most I can say is that, yes, I like Snyder's more slow paced, psychological way of doing things.
