Done my Boxing Day shopping. Snagged New Little King Story for £13! Last copy they had as well.

Never did get around to playing the Wii original and I've since sold the platform, so I'll see how good this is. Won't be playing it for a while though. Only bought it for the cheap price

I've heard it's really buggy. But other than that, should be great. LKS is awesome.

I'm sure I will enjoy when it's time for it. It's framerate that supposedly gets hit when you have more than 30 units, but I've never been the most observant when it comes to that. Also bought my first 3DS games as well! KH3D and RE: Revelations for a combined £28. Again price was the factor as even if I don't have a 3DS yet, I doubt I'll get it cheaper than that

Damn, nice purchases, even if I am a little baffled @ buying games for a system you don't have. :D

Where did you pick up Kingdom Hearts 3D for that price, just out of interest?

Hey that fact that I don't have the system doesn't really matter. It was a sale! I doubt I'll find them that cheap when I eventually get a 3DS. To be honest I'd put them in the same category as NLKS. I never buy new games until I'm finished with my previous games. With only two exceptions.

First is if it's a game I really really want to play. If that's the case I'll drop or make sure I'm finished with what I'm currently playing on the day that game comes out. There are very few games that would fall into that category. Usually only select RPG's and a few others. For example from now till the end of 2013 there's only two titles that fall into the category for me. Persona 4 Golden and The Last or Us. Everything else can wait till I get around to it. I still haven't got the likes of Halo 4, Dishonored, Darksiders II or Hitman yet even if I want to play them.

The other reason if it's on a good sale that I doubt I'll be able to match even if I delay my purchases a good few months or more. Hence today's buys and the likes of Ni No Kuni for £30 :P

I've been at home and my brother saw it when he was out shopping. I believe it was Tesco's, and it was a range of titles for 2 for 30. He gets an employee discount. I'm based in Newcastle by the way

After reading this thread for a while, I'm officially a Vitabro (or should I say Vitadad?). Got the COD Vita for Christmas with Uncharted, Street Fighter X Tekken anda 16 gig card; mine didn't have the COD decal on the back though.

My SEN ID is oldyella, so feel free to add me! Now to read and get up to speed on essential functions..

playing uga from ps+ , but im not feeling the praise.
the graphics are really good and changes my perspective on psvita power. it is more than xbox1 afait.
but the gameplay feels repetitive and set pieces are toned down from the console version. the shooting is boring as you are stationed one place, duck and shoot baddies who absorb too much bullets, too much shooting encounters so far.
forcing my way to complete it. :(

welcome, i highly suggest getting ps+, there are a bunch of free games on it currently ( uncharted for one) and you get soem decent sales. hot shots golf is on sale for 9$. metal gear solid hd collection is on sale as well. you get a super value and plethora of games with ps+. (assuming youre in the US)

smart to get a 16 gb card. I'd recc a hori screen protector from amazon...also, catch up on ps1/psp games if you missed out on any. those are great on the system as well.

once you get used to the gyro aiming, headshots become a total cinch to pull off consistently. It makes the game much more palatable, imo.

the lack of great setpieces is a downer, but it's not too different from how Drake's Fortune was either.

Start running and gunning using the gyro controls to pop off headshots. This is when the game becomes amazing.

Like in all Uncharted games the handguns are the most fun.

I've read your complaints about the shooting parts about the console versions about a thousand times. Ironically, more people seem to feel the shooting sections have been toned down in GA.

To each their own though. I've felt that way about all the UC games really, yet it never seems to detract from my enjoyment of them. I just like the series that damn much.

go for headshots... they go down in 1. almost every gun can accurately get a hs.

this game is praised to have more of exploration than others with all the collectibles you can find. so rather than gunning from point A to point B try looking around and finding different places to climb, ledges to hop on, and corners to look behind.

i found the game slightly tedious but not due to the gunplay. i was pretty impressed tehy were able to replicate and implement it that well actually.

sold my old black 3g vita (bought a white black friday bundle) and i just decided to pull the trigger on Sonic racing :D add me: mauaus

i done headshots but the level progression seems too structured and closed in, you go from one shooting area, to finding which ledges and pipes to swipe to progress, which leads to next shooting area, then to the next ledges and pipes... if the shooting was more fun or the platforming was more challenging, it would ok. i also cant find the exploration parts because it is so far one path down to the next? apart from some slight path detour for taking those special photos and collecting gemstones?

btw i have downloaded the THQ pack and found space marine shooting more involving, i think ND can do more for the shooting parts.

just sold my AC:Lib card and PSASBR download code for 40$.

so now i either got an even cheaper black friday bundle or i can put it towards a 32gb card! thoughts? i have a 4gb card now and its not too troublesome yet. just moved UC, MBA, and FFT off to maek way for a new round of games...thinking Hot Shots. shoulda got lbp and rayman last week.

Sounds like Uncharted just isn't for you, my friend. At least, not the core gameplay, because this is how it always is. Uncharteds 2 and 3 have a leg up due to their set pieces and stories being more compelling.

I sold stuff and grabbed the 32 gb card. I think thats the best way to go.

I love uncharted on ps3 but the vita version is not fun in my opinion. Got bored very quickly.

Boring is probably the main complaint I would levy against Golden Abyss as well. It has some good ideas in the more elaborate treasure hunting system, and gyro-assisted aiming is a treat, but the game as a whole is just an enormous step back in terms of ambition and design.

Actually, the max you can have under your command is 30. If you have 30 in your personal guard, it slows down quite a bit in town when you have everything developed. If you keep it around 10-12 it's ok. It's still a very, very fun game and I highly recommend it. The slowdown is what kept it from being absolutely awesome. I got the platinum in it too, so that goes to show you how much I loved it, I didn't want it to end. The platinum took me about 40-50 hours.

I really wish we had some RTS games on Vita, most especially a MOBA. Are there any out for it in the vein of those genres?

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on getting Sonic and DJ MAX, I'm just so torn on which to get. I think I'll hold off on Sonic until I beat NFS: Most Wanted. As much as I love Lumines, I can't see myself playing it for much longer after I get %100 of the trophies, unless they add DLC (which is doubtful at this point).

They were supposed to bring dungeon defenders to vita but who knows what happened to that

Done my Boxing Day shopping. Snagged New Little King Story for £13! Last copy they had as well.

Never did get around to playing the Wii original and I've since sold the platform, so I'll see how good this is. Won't be playing it for a while though. Only bought it for the cheap price

Where did you get it for that price?

I notice ShopTo have New Little King's Story for £21.85 in their one day sale - next cheapest is £30 (NFS and Sonic are the same price too). For anyone who's played it, would you recommend it to someone who's never played the Wii version and would basically be going into this game blind and not knowing much about it?

Just bought a 32GB card and Sonic Racing Transformed, finally going to have a card big enough to hold a decent amount of PS+ stuff!

How big is LKS? I don't mind getting it retail but I like to reserve those for large sized cards.

Anyone know if the France release of New Little King's Story has an English language option? My sister's headed there, and I might have her grab it.

They look like solid lists. I wish #1 and #3 would hurry up and come to Europe though..

It's definitely different from the Wii game but it's essentially the same experience. New princesses, new art style, some new classes to unlock, item/armor/weapon synthesizing, etc. It's a really robust game that is held back by the slowdown when you have like 20-30 soldiers in your personal guard. I highly recommend it if you enjoy sim/RTS type games, although it has the blend of RPG elements in it so it's a really different experience.

How big is LKS? I don't mind getting it retail but I like to reserve those for large sized cards.

It's like 650 MB digitally.

Ah, shame they haven't brought it over. I'm excited for Guacamelee although I hope it really is very Metroidvania (like a huge explorable world), not like a pseudo-Metroidvania experience.

Flying hamster hd
Velocity
Jet pack joyride

Think those are all 2013.

I bet we see Final Fantasy X in September-December 2013. It's the 10th anniversary of X-2 then and development on the port started in January 2012 so that gives them 18 months or so for something that is just being ported over.

What's the opinion on the Gravity Rush DLC? Worth $4 each? Or ignore it for now and wait to see if it goes on sale? Or it's poorly done and ignore altogether? I've been putting more time into the game and I'm about a third through so starting to think I might need to buy some of that DLC, especially since at least one one of them would be available within my game with how far I am.

Also, I know Dokuro gets a lot of love but does it pick up quite a bit? I'm really early, only having completed twelve stages, but I'm not really getting into it just yet. It reminds me of Exit in that I feel like I'm mostly just doing busywork and that the solutions to things aren't difficult but more just about taking the time to actually move around and step on switches or carry the princess. I'm sure more elements get added (fire stuff?) but I'm hoping it picks up and becomes more interesting soon.

It depend on what you want really, if you just want more challenges then they give you nice amount of that, but if you want story missions only the maid dlc do nice work at that.

I'd say get the maid and Spy dlcs, Military one is just meh.

Is Little Deviants really that bad?

it's just a small D-rated iOS game with back touch gimmick, nothing more nothing less. avoid it.

Guacamelew has been shown playable at various expos this year including demo units in store so...

Yeah no vapourware

Here's how it works:

1. Announce game release date for 2013.

2. Don't release game in 2012.

3. Apply Totobeni logic.

4. Game is vaporware!

walking dead could very possibly come to vita.

as could an Uncharted: Golden Abyss 2 - though i bet itd be 2014 for that. as well as a gravity rush sequel.

im still holding out hope for dead space or bioshock. whether its a full fledged game or a spin off....

Is it just me or do some games drain the battery more than others? Been playing New Little King's Story (physical) and it just seems to drain the battery. Then again maybe I'm just losing track of time. Really loving the game so far despite some struggling with sending out commands.
