These sanford stories are hilarious.
I don't think I have ever heard a Sanford story that wasn't funny.

I am saying straight up porting a SF playstyle into Marvel would result in that character being low ass tier. Characters like Ghost Rider and IF are incomplete because they lack the tools to compete in the game but if you ported those characters to SF they would be god tier. Its all relative. So you're trying to tell me a character plays differently in a different game? That doesn't make one more complete than the other. Next thing you're going to tell me that Vanilla Sagat would be underpowered in marvel since his damage isn't in the 1000s?
And they were still bad because their original Marvel versions were based off the SF games at the time like the Alpha series. Sure they gave Ryu a giant plasma beam but you need to give more.MVC2 SF characters were ported from previous Marvel games, not SF games.
Wait, what kind of shit is this? Any character in SF4 is more fleshed out than any marvel character. I don't even get how you can compare them like that haha.

Characters in SF are generally complete for that game but almost all of them would get blown up if ported to Marvel. Likewise a vast majority of Marvel characters would destroy SF characters.
This is the exact problem MVC2 had with SF characters being ass because of their limited toolset for the game as they were ported straight up without getting solid Marvel tools.
dante, dormamu, morrigan, ammy, felicia
just to start with
How the heck does one define "more fleshed out" anyway?
hahaha what? jesus
Its all relative to the game. If a character has tools to combat a vast majority of situations in said game then they are fleshed out. Characters like Magneto, Dorm, Zero, MODOK, Dante, Ammy, Phoenix etc. Someone like Ghost Rider or IF do not feel fleshed out in comparison, they appear very 1 dimensional and even in that aspect they aren't the best (IF isn't the best rushdown character and neither is Ghost Rider three best zoner). How the heck does one define "more fleshed out" anyway?
If you dont play the game dont talk like you do, you'll just come off as a fanboy/hater
It's a really stupid term, even if defined as sheer complexity doesn't make something more fleshed out, or even better. Even as a criterion to use to compare between games it's kind of ambiguous and doesn't make much sense because of how different the games are in which they exist in. Apples to oranges really. How the heck does one define "more fleshed out" anyway?
I don't play it anymore since I don't like to, i watch the streams pretty regularly though and would love to hear how you're even beginning to compare these two in terms of which is a more complete character.

The fuck are you rambling on about
If you actually understood my original post you would know that I was saying Dhalsim was a more complete character in SF4 than Ghost Rider is in Marvel. So you agree comparing characters' abilities between two completely different games doesn't work since they don't work at all in a similar fashion? I don't get what you were going with, with your original post at this point.
You're saying Ammy's more fleshed out than an SF4 character. Tell me how
Cap does pretty decent vs that, it's a shame cap isn't more popular he's pretty derpy and annoying as fuck with good assist. Then again he's lacking in touch of death stuff sortaNow we're finally seeing the Morridoom explosion happen.
Dhalsim is complete, just because he has bad matchups doesn't make him incomplete by any stretch. Who would pretend he's not?If you actually understood my original post you would know that I was saying Dhalsim was a more complete character in SF4 than Ghost Rider is in Marvel.
Such a copout.Sure paypal me some money to pay for the tuition fee. Because that's really really freaking basic level fighting game stuff right there with any knowlage of both games.

Such a copout.
Character depth
So you agree with DahBomb then? COOL
And how do you define "character depth" for 2 different games with completely different systems? No character in SF4 has beam attacks, can spam mulitiple projectiles rapidly, has assists, can hit confirm from full screen away, only 1 has air dashes, only 1 has stance chance, etc.
Lol... You are a character. You are essentially agreeing with me. My whole point was about Ghost Rider being incomplete/ill equipped, Dhalsim was used as an example of the archetype in a different game.Dhalsim is complete, just because he has bad matchups doesn't make him incomplete by any stretch. Sim is pretty awesome in MvC2. Not bad in the slightest, just not amazing. And they were still bad because their original Marvel versions were based off the SF games at the time like the Alpha series. Sure they gave Ryu a giant plasma beam but you need to give more.
Marvel needs more Evil Sakura type SF characters. 0 frame teleports up in this bitch.

I have no idea where you got the notion that I was implying that Dhalsim or any SF character is incomplete in their respective game.
its funny how zero isn't an autowin character at tournaments like vergil/morridoom is

Seth is a very fleshed out character since he's basically naked
Tekken and Virtua Fighter characters have depth while Street Fighter characters do not
If you want to consistently beat local players/scrubs, pick zero.its funny how zero isn't an autowin character at tournaments like vergil/morridoom is
Mashed out Sim grab never fails to make me laugh.
Ghost Rider is basically sim.
A really really really shitty version of him
Ghost Rider is basically sim.
