Skipped Black&White 1 and 2 because Diamond and Pearl were disappointing. But this? This I will play. Looks like a major step forward.

EDIT: Though as the post above mentioned, I hope some of the older archaic gameplay design decisions are changed.

If you had played gen 5 you would know hms are used so sparingly it's like they arent even there, and tms are unlimited now too.

I have? all four of them (B2/W2). 2 was actually far worse with HM usage.

the fact that you can remove HMs doesnt make it any less of a stupid ass design decision. In fact it actually makes it far more mind boggling as to why they're still there

I like that screen, its just the grids make it look closed off. You can see loads of land in front of you.

Hey good to know. I'm glad I skipped a gen (Two if you count B/W 2 as another gen). Hopefully this game will feel more fresh that way.

Loved the trailer. Pokemon X and Y will be joined by Pokemon Z later on as the directors cut, and it makes oh so much sense. X, Y and now the Z axis in Pokemon games. Glorious.

I still dont understand how this is supposed to make it better; it makes it worse.

The fact that you dont have to use them as much, YET suddenly you are randomly asked to use one makes it fucking worse than before based on the fact that you might mistakenly think you're free of carrying around Pokemon with HMs.

if you're gonna do that why not remove them completely? it makes it stand out even more as a ridiculously backwards design choice

they need to fucking go for good and never come back. Grow some balls Game Freak

Battle graphics look ace, some of the non battle environments look a bit rough though..

I'm excited for this game, I really hope they use Streetpass to it's full potential - it was literally built for a Pokemon game!

Imagine wandering around with your 3ds in your bag and coming home to find you've walked past other 3ds' and got extra pokemon, items etc.

Or you could battle other trainers team at the time of streetpassing them. So much potential there.

Well I'm excited. I skipped entire Gen V but after 4 years I think I'm ready to come back. Starters look nice and legends look great, especially the deer/stag looks BOSS. Glad we're finally having organic version mascots again.

Worldwide simultaneous release is a real bomb though, I'm so going dark into these games. Niiice.

Up on European eShop aswell, just watched it for the first time. He spent a bit too much going through history perhaps, although I do appreciate the emphasis on how they've managed to speed up the localization process.
