I saw an interesting post via 4chan that theorized that the two legendaries represented two new types: light & sound. Basing the theory off their presentation in the Direct. But I don't know if they'd introduce anymore types, it was still an interesting theory.
They're both beautiful, but yeah, Yveltal never gets old. Not that Xerneas does, but Yveltal has just the right amount of interesting patterns, shapes, details, and room for them all to breathe and look natural. Your eye traces the linework and it has this action-packed feel. So awesome.Yveltal... still loving it.
So beautiful.

Jack shit.Based off of what though?
I can see Xerneas being "light" because of the antlers, but I've no idea what Yveltal has to do with "sound".
Maybe he's blind so he uses sonar to navigate... maybe...?I can see Xerneas being "light" because of the antlers, but I've no idea what Yveltal has to do with "sound".
Very little, just that Yveltal was the only pokemon to make a sound in the trailer aside from Pikachu and that Xerneas was surrounded by beams of light.Based off of what though?
He drops some mad beats yo.
Just look at those 3 vinyl swapping hands!!! #electronic-gaf represent!!!
BRING IT BACK TO THE JUNGLE!!!!

Lets get that in the OPGot permission from a mod to post these in the other thread, so I'll post them here -- low-quality since they're photos:
I'd rather not have Sound. Seems too narrow and they already fudged stuff up with Sound with Jigglypuffs and the Whismur line and a bunch of other Normal Pokemon and attacks.I saw an interesting post via 4chan that theorized that the two legendaries represented two new types: light & sound. More than likely some kind of serpent, yes.warming up to Y, like X except the sword legs.
i wonder how they will do the Z 'mon. a snake?
I know how you feel. ;_;Sugimori making me like Yveltal. Damn it. I like it more than Xerneas now.

Well, when you think about it, it's not really too late for any new type, as they can always go back and change old typings around. It's not like it would be unprecedented (see Magne* line).I'd rather not have Sound. Seems too narrow and they already fudged stuff up with Sound with Jigglypuffs and the Whismur line and a bunch of other Normal Pokemon and attacks.
I think the ship has sailed too for Light since Gen II since Psychic and Normal types seem to be taking design cues from RPG variations of "Light/Holy" types more and more. Too late for any future "Tech" types out there too.
Never too late for "Cosmo/Ether/Space/Cosmic" types though. Would love that. If you go with Ether, you don't even have to retcon Dalgia and Palkia's stupid typing. And maybe if you think hard enough, Ether/Cosmic could be weak against Poison lol.
Sugimori making me like Yveltal. Damn it. I like it more than Xerneas now.
So I think I am going to playthrough it once picking Froakie and then start over. I have to choose the water starter first... it's tradition for me.
Not 1 single time have I not chosen the water type. Chespin will be on my file 2 and he shall be permanent.![]()
Yveltal looks capable of the most colossal bitch slap in history.Yveltal look great. Pokemon X sounds better, but for Yveltal, i'm going with Y.
I thought I'd never see "organic" legendaries again. To hell with Palkia, Zekrom and mecha-pokemons, Yveltal gives me Lugia/Ho-oh vibes and that's excellent, I hope they don't go overboard with the quantity of legendaries this time, BW was exhausting on that regard.
With the 3D battles, the catching animation in this game should have the ball hit the pokemon and engulf it similar to how it happens in the show, I think it'd be pretty sweet.

You delete files? Pokemon killer.

I'm thinking:
Chespin starter. And Y for Yveltal.
Green starter. Red legendary.
Awww yeeeah.
Lets get that in the OP
I thought Yveltal looked great even in the trailer. Too many people focused on the one still showing him from below, all aglow with energy -- made him look simpler than he is. But if you look a him a few frames earlier, we see side profile shots that show the diamond patterns on his back, the cool linework on his face, etc. Glad people are coming around, though.I honestly thought the design was terrible judging by the trailer but yeah, Sugimori art makes it look cool.
From the looks of the trailer, that's definitely not happening.I wonder if the game will finally go back to the overworld running at 60 fps.
From the looks of the trailer, that's definitely not happening.
Framerate can change a lot between now and then. Look at how much they've improved the framerate in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. From the looks of the trailer, that's definitely not happening.
No. Most 3DS games actually don't change framerate or anything like that when switching between 2D/3D. The games that do are generally the exception to the rule. The IQ looks pretty clean on the battle shots at least, I'm willing to bet that going from 3D to 2D will net some kind of IQ increase like 2xAA.But if that's true then in 3D it'd run at only 15FPS, wouldn't it? It'd have to be atleast 60FPS to run properly.
Yeah, but they improved Luigi's mansion from sub-20 to 30. That's completely different than going from low-20 to 60.Framerate can change a lot between now and then. Look at how much they've improved the framerate in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
