I hope the "70 new pokemon" rumor is false, since this would include again 10 shitty legendaries (half of them unobtainable of course) and the 5 pokemon we already know and their evolutions.

Yeah, I know you guys received it from Melkor, along with (IIRC) WPM, Arty2, Top, and several others. *shrugs* Given that Melkor is still around and apparently still has his job, in retrospect his leak was probably sanctioned at some level anyway.
Which is kind of ironic, since I'm pretty sure that meme only started after he was caught out using a Black & White ROM, after having claimed he'd received his game from Japan early.

I've always thought of Bulbagarden as something that is... well, a bit Wikipedia-ish when it comes to a lot of things, and especially Bulbapedia (who'd thought?), and sometimes I don't really feel like talking about who's right, or who's better. If I want only confirmed information, it's up to me to check. If I want rumours, it's the same thing. Reporting on a rumour does not make anyone "bad" to me.
I'd rather just get on with it and treat them all as the same - if it's confirmed, good. If it's not, I'm OK with it. I don't want to see a war.
Truth to be told, though, I'm getting a bit crazy at thinking up "what's next, after the starters evolve". Given Gen V, anything happens. Fake fan art is fake, though.

You couldn't tell that was fake? The artwork has severe artifacting, but the main screenshot is pixel-perfect...

It wasn't presented as a crystal-clear image when everyone got excited about it. It was blurry and almost identical to the real scans we're accustomed to getting, plus it was circulated just a few days before big BW2 news was expected to drop.
Believe it or not; the reason it was ousted as a fake was that the Japanese in the screenshot was shoddy. After that, the artist stepped forward and presented the clear image I linked.

I was pining for a RSE remake because I was hoping they'd fix the rival issue by giving us a new one (or at least making the existing ones better)
He's still more of a rival than Brendan and May since they give up halfway through. Wally ends up having the team that can rival yours, almost. (His Gardevoir ends up capped at 57, but it's still higher than any other trainer up to that point.)
That would be Inferno + Fox (Or Furnace + Fox, depending on romanization) not Inferno + Latin word for dark

It's tiring seeing the ages of 10-40 condensed to 8-24
It does make me wonder how they'd handle it in a remake. If Brendan/May get fleshed out to the point of being one of the half-rivals like Bianca and Lucas/Dawn in DPPt, maybe Wally would get the other starter at some point, just to be consistent.

To me, a rival doesn't have to look like he got ripped out from some angsty RPG. These Hoenn guys fit the "nice guy" bill perfectly, and it was a nice change of pace.
