The game is really fun but a lot of people mistake it for being a sort of Tony Hawk PS clone, which it isn't. The game is not about doing tricks at all - it's about tagging as much graffiti as possible without getting caught by the cops. The controls are a little bit rough until you get used to them but that's partially because the original on Dreamcast was designed to have a fixed camera angle since the controller had only one stick.

Yeah Sly...which again I know Winkle is cumming over but idk. I mean I guess it's fine that it looks great, I just hope it reviews well.
I was too - it's why I went for and got the platinumWish more people would give it a chance, $40 is a steep price but it's sooo good. Whenever I can play my vita again I really want to get DJMAX and Sonic Racing.. so many games I want though :\

I'm willing to stop hyping it if reviews come out and it's universally below average. I will also be incredibly sad. BUT, until and IF that day ever comes, the hype train moves on vigilantly.
Sly will probably be decent but I doubt it'll be great when it's trying to follow the other games and none of those are great. They're way too easy for platformers and too focused on annoying friends (Sonic syndrome) and mini games.

ahh interesting. i was unaware. never played a sly game before. SLy 1 interested me back in the day... then i just began to write off the series as it started to go downhill

Sly 1 is probably the best of the 3 since it limits the mini games and you rarely play as the friends. You die in 1 hit too unless you get enough coins to get an item that lets you take 1. It's still really easy for a platformer but it's a lot better than 2 and 3.
Some fans are more dismissive of Sly 2 and/or 3, but do keep in mind that all three games have a 8+ average on Metacritic. They're all very good games.

I wish too. I got THPS HD but the game controls a bit differently from the originals.

Eh I really enjoyed the first one, Clockwork was an awesome villain. The second and third were fun...just more of the same over and over.
The art style and the characters are memorable and the whole "thief" aspect is done quite well...I'm just not impressed visually with Thieves in Time at this point.
There's an ocean of difference between the Vita and the PS3 and you should know that. The PS3 is on its' way out, the Vita is most assuredly not. Sales are slowing down and everyone is prepping for the next generation of consoles. I love my Vita (really, I do), but there's a dearth of announcements as of late and four or five games can barely fill a season, let alone a full year. Sony should be in panic mode right now with securing some more exclusives for it or at least do a better job making sure third parties fulfill their promises.

im not digging out the list thats buried in this thread... but my point just because only 4 games interest you, doesnt mean it isnt a decent release year so far. Also, it is only the 3rd week of january, im sure we will get announcements throughout the year.
it's not my fault you're not looking forward to sly 4, rainbow moon, the JAW projects, the FutureLab games, etc.
oh i 100% agree. i'm just saying because he/she is interested in only a few games doesnt mean the line-up is bad or that there wont be more announced. my point for using the ps3 was that just because im looking forward to 1 game doesnt mean there arnt other awesome notable games still coming for ps3...
I didn't really mean to come off that way my point was that not many big games have been announced for it,though i hope we get more announcements soon.

Yeah I expect UC:GA 2,Puppeteer Vita,Ys' localisation and 2 big 3rd party exclusives for the fall to be announced for this year and Gravity Rush 2 announced for early 2014 at TGS.agreed

sadly sony seems to have gone through quite a number of their 1st party franchises in the vitas first year.
would love love love puppeteer to come to vita though...

About to hit double digit Vita Platinums to go along with triple digit PS3 titles, very nice combo ^_^
Lego Batman is so much fun, Lego LOTR was too, but felt a little too long like the movies
Got Gravity Rush and Ass Creed Lib up next to bat
Thinking about doing, 1 week Vita/1 week PS3, or some combo for the week
I'm still waiting on R&C FFA for the Vita, I want my cross buy copy James!
I'm trying to starve myself gaming wise, I ballooned my spending too much last year, will be reeling it this year
No new Vita purchase till June or in the Summer drought months
(Still have 5+ retail and 7+ DD to go through)

Well out of 3 major franchises (GT, GoW, Uncharted) only one came to Vita.

A short list of games that I'm looking forward to in the coming year would be Dead or Alive 5+, Soul Sacrifice, and Killzone: Mercenary. Ys Celceta isn't a lock for localization yet (to my understanding), but that's definitely front and center on my list when it is. I'm definitely hoping for some more RPG announcements, though.
I'd be more excited about Tearaway if I didn't have some bad experiences with games trying to make as much use of the Vita's more extraneous features. That, and holding the Vita the way that the people holding it in the trailer are doing it seems incredibly uncomfortable and it seems like it's going to demand a lot of that. Just doesn't seem like a game I can play on my commute, which is where I do 90% of my gaming lately.

It's in both games.
Sigma allowed Ryu to use the Dragon's Claw and Tiger's Fang dual katana, which made an appearance in the sequel as well (with a more expansive moveset).

Yes I did. I think I just slept through it, because when I checked my Vita this morning I had earned a Trophy and it did say I was connected to four other people. The Vita is supposed to goto into standby mode after the alarm goes off, right?

There was never a fight in either NG that you needed to use two swords. Unless you mean Genshin's boss battle but you could still switch from Tiger Claw&Enma Fang(?) to another weapon.
But yes, Sigma included the weapons and NG2 then added them and they've been there since. They aren't that good, the Dragon Sword is still the best way of going through the game.

No, but it was confirmed for this year. I am expecting a solid date given at Destination PlayStation next month or at E3.

Team Ninja Dog is Vita God.
Can't say anything about the others, but the PDP grip has a nice matte, soft plastic finish. It also doesn't cover the cartridge slot (which I've heard the Nyko one does).

Is the all gold/all co-op achievement still in Sigma 2 Plus? Because god help whoever gets this on a portable with that terrible netcode to do that spoiler for THAT mission.
