Best starter ever on the bottom right there.

Do you peeps think we will get another Red situation in which we will encounter the main character from Black and White 1 as the strongest trainer after defeating the Elite Four?

Or... The E4 should consist of the previous 4 generations' players. And Red as champion!

Yeah, but he's a NORMAL TYPE gym leader. Boring dad.

The moms from B/W and B2/W2 are pretty cool though. They're both knowledgeable, call you regularly and kind of hint that they were stronger trainers than you are now.

Hey now. Some of my best friends are Normal type.

For anyone that has emulated a Pokemon game on the PC: did you use a controller? If so what type?? Will this 'feel' right on Pokemon games?

I dont really get why people would want to emulate Pokemon when you can't trade to real versions of the game...

But to answer your question: I use a PS2 controller with a USB adapter for all retro games. The adapter was super cheap and it works great.

Also, if you have a bluetooth adapter you can hook up a Wiimote and all accessories including the classic controller. That works nicely with the few games I've tried.

That would be cool. It'd be a good way to keep the series feeling connected. Gen 1 and 2 feel so much more related than the other gens because of those story aspects that refer to the first gen. Being able to go back to Kanto was brilliant and it'd be great if Gen 6 has something like that.

It's actually possible to emulate local wi-fi connections, and it's really easy to transfer data from an emulated save file to a cartridge. And since the Pokemon are generated using the standard in-game methods, they'll all be legal.

Huh, I forgot about that. I'm used to trading in Gen 3 with it's wonderful link cableness. Still, I can't imagine DS emulation being better than the real thing.

I'm sure speed control is worth its weight in gold, for the purposes of replaying the games. I'll always play on cartridge, but I can understand the appeal of emulating the older games at least.

Oh yeah, definitely for the older games, it's just the DS ones that seem odd to me. I just think emulating two screens on one screen (with one of them being a touch screen) would be very odd. Plus I don't think theres an emulator that renders DS 3D at a higher resolution and that would bug the hell out of me.

Playing Red or Blue with speed control would be cool though.

Why should Red be the Champion? He's total weaksauce.

Get Cynthia or Steven as the Chmapion.

Actually, Brendan should be. With a Swampert, a speed boost Blaziken, a Salamence, a Latios, a Metagross and a
Jirachi
. Some of the best pokemon of the gen, competetive wise. :P

Nevertheless, I believe that the champion should have a very strong team. Like the ones on the Black Skyscraper.

I kinda wish they'd drop the 600 previous pokemons and go only with 150 new ones, but they'd get shit for it.

Nonetheless, it must be a nightmare for them between all the novelty pokemon, those who evolve with objects, thos who evolve with features that have been dropped since, etc.
And who complete his pokedex nowadays anyway <_<...

Lots of people do.

Including me.

The day they "drop" the old Pokémon is the day I quit.

They don't count toward Pokedex completion, and most of them have wifi events.

Do you only try and complete your pokedex then? Or do you actually try collecting them all?

Because personally I have to have one of every kind with my trainer code or it doesn't count.

I've got no issues with trading between versions and with other people, that's how the games were designed after all. The events are nice to have around, but it's not like they're even legal in most tournaments, between players and even in-game... they just end up being novelty for the most part.

I don't mind trading with others either it's just afterwards I have to go breed them with my Ditto to get my own copy.

Personally I like the novelty of having another pokemon to capture and I'm not really all that bothered about battling in tournaments. Not that I ever use legendaries in battle; it always seems really cheap to me to use them.

they already did that for black and white......before the e4 is beaten anyway.

I think it's fine for them to do this, especially for a new gen. Introduce old pokemon in the wild in the third version of that gen.

Taking away the pokemon completely.. now that would not be ok.

Am I the only one who has dreamed of a new or alternate evolutionary line for the Nido Royal Family? Just not sure what I would want from it, just.... more Nido!

Loved my Nidoqueen back in Blue.
