What possible E3 2013 Megaton could push you over the edge in hype?

At this point new IPs are the best bet. Titles wth 4,5,6 in them are just gonna be shinier versions of what we have already seen and as an avid PC gamer even the shine wont be that big.

I am curious about what Retro is working on though

Mirror's Edge 2 and Half-Life 3 for me. There are quite a few so I'm hoping E3 delivers one or two crazy megatons.

Completely unexpected mind blowing hype = Shenmue 3, Ito directed FFXV
Expected but still Very hyped = New Zelda,EAD Tokyo Mario, Durango, Orbis, Project Zwei

Alan Wake 2. They don't even need to show anything except for the title while playing the Bright Falls theme.

Orbis and Durango graphics.

F-Zero U
Wave Race U
Half Life 3
Mirror's Edge 2
Zone of the Enders
Alan Wake 2
Metroid U
Mario Kart U
Uncharted 4
Guilty Gear XXX

Any of these being next gen. Screw current gen. We are done with that.

So many games would hype me up, and so many of them are sequels @_@

> New 2D Metroid
> New 3D Metroid (yes, I adored Other M, so it doesn't have to be from Retro)
> Prey 2 (fully realised from goals)
> Mirror's Edge 2
> Muramasa 2
> Okami 2
> Original Zelda/Okami style adventure game from Platinum with same team
> Mother 4 (localisation guaranteed)
> F-Zero U by Yakuza team
> Yakuza 5 localisation
> Skies of Arcadia 2
> A new Mass Effect in the style of the first game: maximum exploration. For next-gen.
> Pokemon X/Y includes online "zone" that acts as a micro server where ~100 or so players can run around, interact, battle, trade with one another. Return of secret bases that integrates with Streetpass.
> Persona 5 has a realistic setting ala P4
> Monolith's new RPG makes full use of the Wii U's graphical processing.
> A Red Dead sequel tease for next-gen. I don't care if it's not out until 2015. I would explode.

Not until we get our Kickstarter campaign.

I would pay illegal amounts of money.....

Has anyone tried to buy the Shenmue licence from Sega? I wonder how much it would cost...?

I think that should be our yardstick for whether Sony is still trying with the Vita. Declassified sold well enough that they really should try to make a decent version this year.

Next gen Call of Duty. OMG guys, can you just imagine the graphics!? Call of Duty games have been on the forefront of pushing hardware to their limits this gen.

If the next gen consoles are shown off and Obsidian Entertainment's next gen project is one of the games announced officially, I'll go nuts.

Demon's Souls 2 for PS4. Since Miyazaki isn't actually working on Dark Souls 2 outside of a moral support role, I hope this is what he's making.

Wii u Zelda/3D Mario/Red Dead The Proposition

In the Edge article I swear it said it was for 'unannounced consoles'

Also Agent would be a pretty damn big megaton. We have no reason to believe it's not cancelled right now so seeing it would be huge and it being an exclusive of some kind would be even bigger.

For Sony:

Killzone 4 trailer and info for changes, listening to online MP criticism, going competitive.

For Nintendo:

Starfox: Lost Galaxy U (lol) : Online MP - both Arwing only or Arwing/Ground

or

Animal Crossing: U (unlikely): Full on online MP where you can visit anyones town if they leave their "gate" open. Trailer

or

Zelda cel shaded Windwaker 2 for 3DS
Mario Sunshine vacation sequel for 3DS

New game from Naughty Dog for PlayStation 4.
For the meltdowns, Killzone 4 on PS4. GGs awesomesause would 404 this forum. :/

Red Dead Redeption 2 for next gen PS4/Xbox720 and PC.
LA Noire 2 by Rockstar for NG and PC.

Colony Wars announced for PS4 launch
Mirror's Edge 2
Mario 128
WaveRace

But then again, 2 next gen consoles being announced before or @ E3 is already hype enough for me ;)

There are many games listed in this thread which would make me really happy to see - some would win "best of E3" easily.

But I think that only HL3 and Shenmue 3 are big enough to shake up the whole industry and these would blow everybody's minds with ease.

Realistically? Sony's first and second party developers showcasing new IPs. I'm pretty positive Sucker Punch, at the very least, is working on a new IP based on that artwork that leaked a while back. The Last Guardian being a launch title (I think this is likely) would do wonders too.

Completely unrealistically? Shenmue III.

in order of importance.

Soul Reaver 3 - where the fuck is it, yo? WHERE! >.<

Thief 4 0 traditional thief gameplay, none of this accessible shite that ruined hitman.

Otogi 3 - I need this, from software. my body yearns for it.

Breakdown 2 - the first was a gaming revelation, namco need to pull their finger out and announce a sequel for this magnificent title.

shenmue 3 - finish the damn story.

crimson skies 2 - what needs to be said? stop dawdling microsoft or whoever owns the ip.

project gotham racing 5 - best arcade racer of all time. doesn't deserve the untimely death it received after the best in series - 4 - was released. bring it back.

crackdown 3 - with competitive multiplayer as well as super powered bosses with battles that sprawl entire blocks and with destructible scenery / buildings.

Batman: Silver age - would love this as a next gen launch title. world similar to pop 2008 but with it becoming increasingly darker as the joker becomes more of a threat.

saints row 4 - hope this series doesn't die with thq. I need a sequel with full geomod 2.0 implemented.

Dino Crisis 4 - return to the series' roots. none of that jet-pac, space bs.

I've got so many more, but any of the above being announced at e3 would be stroke inducing.

Killer Instinct revival. My first fighting game.

Also this, not my first fighting game, but if they remade it in as high quality as the Mortal Kombat reboot for the Xbox 8 then I will be super giddy and grab my first Xbox at launch (maybe).

Other things:
- The Last Guardian for the PS4 that is high fidelity and with a butter smooth frame rate.
- Metal Gear Solid 1: remake for the PS4 with original vocals / soundtrack included
- PS4 Premium Edition with full BC and way more RAM than reported (4GB of the super fast RAM + some other RAM... or all super fast RAM) with a super good graphics chip
