Do you have any examples of this happening? I've only known of examples where it happened because of some sort of higher intervention.

It's been pretty damn painful going through the first 2 and I'm not much of a reader in the first place, so I think I'm good once I finish the 2nd.

Reading your impressions, something just occurred to me.
Isn't this Banner of the Stars (Seikai no Senki) rather than Crest? I am pretty sure the Baron and the maid army doesn't appear anywhere in Crest.
Admittedly, the first and second books was a bit of a slog to get through with all the unanswered questions of metals and their opposing elements and whatnot but all that, and more, is answered beautifully in the third book.

Actually I dont think we have, considering its like a whole new pool facility, Koizumi brought something new to the pool, the list is one column instead of two, and the restaurant is different. I dont know when he says that line about the scene it makes me laugh, perhaps something is wrong with me as Im enjoying these episodes a bit too much just for the sake of the lines and finding differences.
Though I still get a bit annoyed at the end where everyone is clueless and watch Haruhi leave and then hes like he'll not do his homework and let his next self worry about it. Shouldnt they be holding a brainstorm sessions to find someway out of this situation. Haruhi cant really be that complicated to not be able to figure out what they need to do in order to satisfy her for this summer? Koizumi embrace suggestion may work I think. Unless of course there is some other unknown method that Im just not seeing to escape. If they can really logically pull something mindblowing to resolve this situation I will be thoroughly impressed

Baron is crest. Least good part of Crest too! Well kinda, looking back it wasn't that bad. I must have been salty at the time.
His sister is Banner and the events ending on the next episode he's watching are a big theme on Banner I.

I don't even care about answers. I just want shit to get real. None of this political intrigue bullshit. I want action. And I want Vin to die a fuckin horrible death.
I got through the first 2 and thought it was so-so. I liked the magic system since there were very rigid mechanics (as opposed to the "magic" in Harry Potter or Malazan that are pretty random). The 3rd one is really awful though. If you didn't like it up to the 2nd book, I'd say don't even bother with the 3rd, The self-insert is strong in that one.
Ah, shit you're right. The Baron happens in between their meeting and the Earth thing. That part totally slipped my mind since its sandwiched by the two major events in Crest.

Clannad After Story 9 - 16
It started off so well with Tomoya finally getting settled and on his own, and family stuff and what not but then sad thing then happy thing then well one of the most saddest events Ive ever encountered in an anime since Angel Beats even. I wondered why someone would write this let alone animate it as it was just way too tough to go through and watch, even worst I was already tearing up before hand and hoping through someway supernatural elements would appear.
Electricians story was quite good though.

Nagisa, really died?! from child birth, what even, no second chance or something, just nothing, death and despair to viewers, her family, and ultimately Tomoya?! whyyy. Tomoya gets all emotional too, no way I bet he can recover from this or rather he will probably take it quite hard, hope he doesnt turn out like his dad but I guess that is going to happen.

Well, it varies from folktale to folktale and it certainly helps that they like to mix up the animation for each and every short which leads to some pretty surprising results. Just get ready to hear "mukashi mukashi" well over 100+ times.

These cliffhangers are relentless.
These episodes have been really focused on the current storyline, and they feel tense. I didn't like this episode quite as much as the previous, but it was really good, and I love seeing the characters having to make quick decisions with their survival on the line.

Azuma was great in this episode, with some very timely advice. Mutta seemed to come up with some great insight, although it was really quick. Seeing Eddie Jay, though, I was trying to figure out how the hell he's Brian's brother. He looks 30 years older!
Hibito starting up the rover was a wonderful moment.
The baron arc is great, if only because of my bad-ass moment in it.

This must be the most cliched episode of TV I've watched in ages. And yet I was entertained. But it did have more Kurugaya, which I'm always in favour of.
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha #3
Another enjoyable episode.
Though this slower pacing is really rough when you have weekly 20 minute installments. Frustrated I am. This would go much better for me in larger chunks I think. But I'm so anxious for more I can't just wait till the season is over. And I have no access to the light novels *grumble*
I'm also wondering just how much story you can tell at this speed with only 12 episodes.

Also, I was seeing this brutally gory anime from the 90's few years ago where some cops infiltrate a building, shit happens, then some dudes heads gets sniped with all that brain matter showing and stuff..so does anyone know the name of this anime? All I know that the protagonists were cops...not sure if they were special cops dealing terrorists however it was gory, graphic, manly, badass and cool.
