Well i hope they at least bring GE2 that's the only one i really want.

I didn't say SCEA wasn't to fault.
But they're not doing anything to fix it either.
No updates recently and I'm left still unable to play Spyro, Crash, or R-Type. This however goes beyond a PS+ issue.
And as far as your PS3+ vs Vita+ being good-great? I've been bitching about the PS3+ updates for about a year now. I can't even remember the last time they gave me ANYTHING I thought was worthwhile. I seriously can't. So as far as I'm concerned, the quality has been about on par.
If you really think it's not worth it and haven't invested in many additional years of service, just stop paying for it.
I've seriously thought about it, but I can't really get a refund on the 2+ years I have left, so I'm along for the ride, bitching all the way. If I only had a 3 month sub? I'd have let it lapse by now and would pick it back up when the updates got a severe uptick in quality.
I'm not saying it isn't worth it, I'm saying it's been disappointing so far outside of the initial offerings.
As for the PS3 updates, they may not appeal to everyone every time but most of the games I've seen rotated in are pretty good. The only complaints I've really noticed were getting too many sports/fighting games or older (but still quality) games that a lot of people have played already.
Hey now, the first three you're okay to bitch about. The last one has just aged poorly, it is not a terrible game that half of GAF wants to make it out to be. It just hasn't aged as well as it's fixed sequel.

It might not have been terrible when it was originally released, but you're right, it has aged terribly... so I'm inclined to agree that it's not a good freebie... it's just semantics though... whether you have your nostalgia goggles on and want to defend JSR or not, it's still not really a great game for PS+ subscribers.

Eh, guess we've just got to wait until E3 again to see if Sony'll pick up the slack. Outside of the games themselves I'm personally anxious to see what Gaikai features Sony will introduce. That alone may make Plus worth it for me if they're exclusive to the service.

The Vita pauses downloads if you press the power button to force it to sleep mode. Instead, you should let the Vita go to sleep mode by itself.

I disagree, I think it's perfect for PS+. It's the type of game that upon hearing about, I'm interested in playing, but when it comes to putting money down i'm just not likely to do. Getting it free on PS+ makes it a perfect fit for me, pay nothing but satisfy that interest I had in it.
Which I did, yesterday. Watching the Professor K cutscenes is so disappointing, when you look at the character and read the subtitles you can imagine a real smooth voice actor attached giving it all a great effect, but instead you get the horrid actor they picked.
Ingame I kept missing jumps and getting grabbed by police. Quit. Hot Shots Golf time.

I think if Namco don't bring over GE2 then Sony should. Sony have published Namco games before in Europe, Tekken, Ridge Racer, Ace Combat, Soul Calibur have all been published by Sony in Europe at some point.
But it doesn't immediately pause the download, it keeps it there for a while and then just shuts off. I was wondering if it would do the same when putting itself in sleep
Yes I played it on Wii last year. Great game! This one is much longer too, I believe.

we will have to see. it very well might depend on how soul sacrifice does/ how that type of game sells on the vita without MH driving the install base.

I'm positive it continues even if you manually put it into sleep mode, I spent the whole afternoon downloading stuff for my new 16GB card.

Yep, it does exclude gaming hardware but some got lucky getting a 3ds xl for $130.

I think you are talking about different updates and problems, the standby problem was fixed a number of firmwares ago back in march, the problem BosSin seems to be having is different.

Have there been any other games in particular that people have been enjoying from the PS1 era on the Vita? I know games like Alundra and Vagrant Story tend to get some attention.
Yeah, I'm super excited to play 999 and then VLR on the Vita. I may end up with a copy of Chrono Trigger as well since it's so beloved, and I never owned a SNES.If you definitely can't obtain a DS/3DS, then getting it on PSN is fine in the end. I mean my first experience of the game was on PS1 and I absolutey loved it, slow load times and all. Having played the DS version since, I can see the PS port was quite bad and the DS version is miles better, but that still doesn't mean you can enjoy the PSN version.
Still you do need to play 999 at some point (you really do) so you can just play Chrono Trigger on that. And then play the superior Chrono Cross

Yeah I was replying to zero that said they paused when you put it in sleep mode to yourself. Like you said, they fixed that. I just tested it again with a game and it downloads fine despite me hitting the sleep button. I'm not sure what problem BosSin is having.

This should not happen, maybe you need to Hard reboot the system (Hold power for 30 seconds.) or try downloading the latest firmware if you can.
RE: bad PSP games. Yes, avoid Prince of Persia: Revelations. Also while Loco Roco is interesting, I couldn't quite have a good time with it. Sonic Rivals 1 is a joke, and Sonic Rivals 2 is marginally better (IE playable and very average, would only recomend to hardcore Sonic fans)

I've put about 7 hours into the Vita. It's great. Over 150 levels, excellent music, sharp visuals, some cool Vita-only stuff. Nice leaderboard integration, too.
Yeah, awesome deal. Used it to get $70 in PSN cards and a $35 3DS e-shop card. Came out to be $55 flat.

Hey vitabros, been an owner since the amazon deal, and I usually play a bit every day, BUT I didn't turn the system on yesterday and when I saw the system today, theres a one inch circle on the screen that's noticable only when the screen is black...is this a known OLED occurrence? anyone else had this happen?
I downloaded 2.02 and the problem still persists. I'll try a hard reset next
