It would be interesting to me if they did something weird with Solrock and Lunatone. Like, they both evolve into the same pokemon, or you have to have both of them, get them to a certain level somewhere special, and they'll combine. Something like that.

Yeah, but it's more due to your starting position and the size of the enemy's armies rather than just the AI's difficulty.
Still, seeing each Warlord's individual story is cool, and evolving Pokémon and Warlords is beyond addicting. Seriously, it was the only game I played while staying in a cabin in PEI for July, and I never grew tired of it.

I like that! Maybe you have a small ray of light coming through a cave somewhere and you have to look at it to make them evolve. Maybe a small event happens even.

Loved using Lanturn in RSE netbattle, his stats are fairly crappy but damn could he be an asshole. Thunder Wave, Confuse Ray and Attract all stack. May not be optimal in terms of effectiveness, but boy did it annoy people.

I'd say that evolution is pretty bad. Better design than Jynx, but it feels too disconnected.
In a world where Dewott evolves into Samurott, I kind of like it. Depends on the rest of the flavor that goes with it, mainly how it evolves, but it's kind of neat.
So I'm sure it's been discussed while I was away, but Masuda's english blog post with the press release in it says "A new battle mechanism that allows your Pokémon to become even more powerful when the bonds you share grow stronger."
Battle system remaining unchanged, but new mechanics? It's different from the original release and the trailer anyway, so maybe it's just a mistranslation on some end.

Well, if you look, it's written under a part that says: "And here is the press release.", so I'm guessing it's just a badly translated version of the PR.

I completely agree with you on that. I think it would be cool to make it Water/Ghost and base it on the Devil Ray.

The thing I love the most about Mantine is how in gens 2&3, he had a Remoraid in his sprite. It was removed in the later games, But it's still there in the concept art.

Pinsir is a cool Pokemon. If they did give him an evo, I'd like a Bug / Dark. Unique typing, finally separating from Heracross a bit. Hopefully with Sucker Punch and other such moves as well.
