Finished the first episode, I loved it! I will keep on making progress through this. Also, Spacey is simply awesome in this show.

I hope Frank and his wife play with the SONY PLAYSTATION MOVE in one of the episodes. It has a ton of games and will literally light up the room. I hear that every congressman who knows anything about anything has played SPORTS CHAMPIONS 2.

It is suppose to be a metaphor for how politicians have 'blood on their hands'(or dirty hands) when doing business in Washington.

Man I love how the music for the opening credits starts playing before the first scene is over and it all flows together. So awesome. The Walking Dead does this too. I love this show.

I noticed they showed a lot of nudity and sex scenes from ep 1 - 3 then mostly just hinted at most of it by the end rather than showing it full on except one scene at the end

something I've noticed that have been missing from TV shows in a long time... smoking, I just noticed this and I chuckled at how it changes the show with just that little touch

It gets unhinged when it doesn't even realize it. It thinks it's being clever/mischievousness and totally buying into itself when really it's going completely off the rails into crazy town. It's a sort of slick show and dull at plenty of times, so the more absurd stuff can wash over you when really it oughta jump out, atleast to keep things interesting.

There's kinda a lotta very apparent reasons a network didn't pick this up.

I thought Netflix outbid the networks that wanted this.
 
Ive seen far more positive reception than negative however for this show, so for Netflix it might have been worth it. I think it is great so far. Looks better than the majority of tv shows and the writing keeps things interesting. Spacey is awesome as the lead.

Two episodes in, and I'm hooked. I didn't love everything in the first, but the whole process of watching
Frank turn a college editorial article into a national scandal
was fascinating as hell.

That being said, I kind of would've preferred it if they released the episodes periodically, rather than all at once. It makes me concerned for the success of online releases like this - it doesn't have the advantage of TV, where attention & conversation about the show is stretched over a few months.
 
I joined Netflix to watch this and haven't been disappointed. I'm on episode 4 at the moment and loving every minute, although I wish Fincher could have directed every episode.

There is nothing to be concerned about. There are no ratings to worry about and no commercials to sell. Show gets a guaranteed 2 seasons and if for some weird reason Netflix doesn't want high quality original content after that, someone else will gladly pick this up.

I definitely didn't expect him to actually sleep with zoe. Just thought he'd keep playing her like a fiddle. I guess that is what he's doing though.

Okay nevermind his wifes response was worth it.

What? HBO and AMC were falling over themselves to get this show. Why do you think Netflix had to pony up 100 million for two seasons.
