The game is $40 for the PS3 version and the Vita Version is $30.

If you get the PS3 version you get the vita version free.

Adam Sessler review: 2/5 Stars.

This could have got 10's across the board, and sales would still be woeful. I didn't know this was coming out until I read it in a thread yesterday.

Since it's more like Sly 2 and 3 I'm more inclined to believe the lower scores. From everything I've seen and read it has the same exact problems those games had. Too many minigames and too much shitty friends.

Sesslers review was quite brutal. The game didn't really look all that impressive to me to begin with but then again I was never much of a Sly fan. The fans should enjoy it though I must say the final boss sounds awful.

I always find ordered review lists pretty funny.
Also - I know this is a cliche atm....but why has Sony not told people they have a fucking game out????

I mean...no one else struggles this hard. Eurogamer is pretty down on its art direction; which might explain the lack of people even seeing this as a new game as oppose to just seeing it as an old franchise.

This is cross-buy right? You get the Vita version with the PS3?

Wait...theres a Vita version?

Adam Sessler's review was pretty much spot on. It is something for people that are fans of the series but it really just makes you want to go back and play the Sly Cooper collection.

Refreshing to see reviewers having their own opinions and not just a standard hive-mind collective that gives scores between 2 point variance.

Shacknews review. The reviewer on twitter - "I absolutely loved Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Please don't ignore this like Sony is.

Brutal :(

Consensus seems to be that it's a great game if you're a Sly fan, and a middling one if you aren't. I like the type of gameplay Sly provides though and I loved the demo, so I'll still be picking this one up on Friday. :)

Sessler's review was interesting. I think most of what seems to make Sly 4 bad already made the later games in the original trilogy insufferable. And yet he seems to like all the PS2 games.
Either way, this game is certainly not for me.

Adam Sessler has always been a huge fan of the Sly Cooper games. I believe that he even referred to it as his favorite Sony franchise in the past. Him giving the game such a low score and basically spending his entire review trashing most aspects of the games is actually quite shocking.

That was one of his favorite topics back on X-play; Sly Cooper this, Sly Cooper that. In fact, he talked about it so much, I think he gave me the incentive to play the series in the first place.

I'm starting to strongly doubt reviewers this late in the generation of games.. something feels off. Like they've lost appreciation to a good time waster. And or value.

It's pretty sad when I honestly can't tell if people are being serious or joking when they mention this. Sony has really hit rock bottom with their advertising for this game.
I assume you mean SCEA? I've already had a mailer for the game (SCEE) and it's not due out over here until the end of March. And yes, fuck knows why we're waiting so long.

many of the links dont work.. EGM, Eurogamer etc.. fix that please..

and how can Eurogame have a review úp now..? game is out in march in Europe and Embargo in Europe is the 20th. of march if I´m not mistaken..

I like that he mentioned the Sly Cooper Collection in his review and implied that he would rather play it. He is truly a fan of the series and a respectable journalist, which makes his review stand out the most of the entire list in the OP.

I have never played a Sly game. Didn't they recently release a HD collection? Maybe I should dig into those first. Always wanted to play them but never got around to it. And, not that it counts considering I really wasn't paying attention, but mark me down as someone who didn't even know this game was being made.
