If this can happen maybe GOG can get some Lucas Arts games.

Come on, really?SS1 > SS2
Excellent news.
Now do Grim Fandango next![]()

It would be awesome if they updated the control scheme in ss1. Either way I'm there day one.
Then a bit of tentacle action and some road hitting and I think we are doing pretty well.
BioShock is one of my favourite games of this generation.
I assume System Shock 2 is still classed as essential reading despite playing BioShock first?

Don't be like that, you know exactly what I mean. Steam is a library of all my games that I trust will be around for the long haul. It'll do a far better job then I ever will at keeping them available and it gives me a lot of peace of mind.

It will also give you a heart attack if it ever goes under.
With DRM-free it's up to you, with Steam it's up to Gabe.

Absolutely, though it might negatively affect your opinion of Bioshock.
Come on, really?
I mean, I played both games around the time they were first released and, of course, love them both but System Shock 2 delivers a better experience overall. SS1, even for its day, was always extremely clunky. It simply doesn't play particularly well and it lacks the scare factor of Shock 2.
I guess I have to start using GOG now, huh.
Bioshock is the watered down version of System Shock 2.
So, are there any must-have mods that I should apply to enhance my experience? I don't want to install truly game-altering mods though, since this will be my first playthrough.
SS2 SHTUP (Shock Texture Update Project) - What it sounds like, faithful to original textures, lots of comparisons included in link (just scroll down), see for yourself.
Dark Engine Widescreen mod - Self explanatory once again, high-res + widescreen support.
SS2 Modmanager - If you want to start trying other mods (like Rebirth and so on).
There's a small chance mods may need to be updated before working of course, but it likely won't be a very long wait if so.
I though the IP issues prevented this from happening?
