People are putting a lot of faith into Retro's ability to offer a system seller, but I haven't seen anything of that level from them since MP3:C, back in 2007. While I enjoyed that game, it certainly had its fair share of flaws, with many of the best parts being lifted from the preceding games in the series (controls not withstanding). While DKCR was great (really great), the vibe I'm getting is that people want to see something that really makes the Wii U scream - a showpiece title. I wonder what Retro are actually capable of. They have the benefit of the doubt, based on their consistent track record overall, but a lot has changed since 2007 - I really, really want to see them set E3 on fire for Nintendo, but I'm not as convinced that they will as others seem to be.
EAD Tokyo on the other hand, seem to be masters of their craft, and I fully expect to get a glimpse of another special game from them.
Edit: Not calling the quoted poster out on the Retro point, btw. Just commenting on the vibe that I feel is going around.
