JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation |OT| Your next post will be... OH MY GOD!

crazy episode. I have not read the manga but I'm guessing there's a pattern where vampires show up, jojo teams up with a zeppeli, zeppeli dies for jojo and then I'm guessing jojo gets killed somehow in the end after getting some woman pregnant, rinse and repeat.

jonathan and joseph are really awesome characters but this show is a bit depressing lol. After this season ends I'll read the manga.

Damn I shouldn't have read that but then again I am glad to hear that.

Glad that the Zeppelis are still around as they are more entertaining than the Joestars
Sorry dude, I thought it was clear I was going to spoil after mentioning part 7 :(

The fuck? an episode with actual animation?

I was pleasantly surprised by that. Hands down the best episode of this series
so far

Side question: Is is okay to ask non-plot related questions of later parts here or should I go to the ASB thread? The ASB thread would seem like the right place but my question is so inconsequential to the plot and isn't at all related to the game.

Mark your spoilers so people know what you're spoiling, and really, you're better off leaving manga spoilers out of this thread entirely.

OMG DIO IS EVIL

[manga spoiler for the third arc that I really shouldn't be talking about in the anime thread]
OMG DIO IS EVIL

Things like this and the fact that we kinda just start discussing other parts of the manga from time to time make me feel that we might be in need of a Jojo community topic? When this started I thought there might not be enough interested people to justify it, but I'm starting to see that maybe we do.

I'm sure he's just
crushed.

Great episode.
Jojo and Lisa kept relatively calm...but then when they saw the blood...oh fuck that breakdown.

5 more eps till the end. God they better animate the rest of the Parts.

It might be justifiable once the anime ends and people branch out to the manga/90's OVA. Jojo's is pretty addicting so having a long break between animated part 2 to 3 might attract new readers from this thread.

Ep 20

ANIMATION!

The way they handled this was fantastic. I forgot most of the lead up to the final battle, and I can't think of a better way to remind me than with an episode adapted so masterfully. I don't know if I'd go as far as say it's the best episode in the show, but damn was it badass/emotional/emotionass.

CAESAAAAR

:(

I knew it was gonna happen cuz it was pretty obvious from the opening(JoJo putting on Caesar's bandana while screaming) but it truly was sad. Speaking of the opening, why doesn't Jojo look like that yet? His current outfit is ugly as fuck.

And it's almost strange to see so much animation in this show. :P

Episode 20

Man.

So many emotions.

One of the emotions being "Christ, they blew all the budget, the last episodes are going to be bloody slideshows, aren't they?"

Next week. Jonathan and Joseph's iconic outfits really only appear at the end.

At least unlike every other Jojo they can actually say that they own more than one set of clothes :V

I had Jojo's Bizarre Adventure when I was really young on the ps1 but I never knew what it was. I started reading the Manga but from the very beginning and was kind of lost because the super power stuff hasn't kicked in. I'm enjoying it a lot, but its going to take me a while to get to the Bizarre adventure story arc.

Btw its true Japanese TV only have schedule up to eps 24?

So what the deal with eps 25-26 that we know from BD/DVDs solicitation?

Exactly what it says. A 9th DVD with eps 25-26 is solicited, but TV listings currently only go up to 24.

There's no info on what's on the Friday after that, 3/29, but we do know that some spring shows are premiering 4/5 on the same channel.

I thought you dropped this.

The only show we know which is premiering on Tokyo MX on 4/5 (actually 4/6) is Date a Live, which will be replacing Problem children are coming from another world, aren't they? at the 1:30am timeslot.

Maoyu (1:00am) is confirmed to be 12 episodes, so it'll be ending on 3/22. This actually opens up a slot on 3/29 for a Jojo double airing if they need one, for ep 25-26, since Jojo airs at 12:30am.

There are a few shows which are very likely to take the 12am to 1:30am slots in April, but specific start dates haven't been confirmed yet: Oreimo S2 (there's currently nothing at the 12am slot, but that has been be Aniplex slot for Fate/Zero and SAO, so I think it's likely), Attack on Titan, Gargantia, and Majestic Prince.

Either way, I highly doubt they won't be airing all 26 episodes. There's really zero reason not to.

Yeah, 25 on the 29th is a safe bet. There's definitely room for a special for 26, too, but some of the things I've paid the closest attention to recently have "lost" planned episodes during their runs (and JoJo did skip a week for that recap marathon) or gained DVD-only/TV special to hype up a new season eps, so...

(Plus, two in one day would kill me. :lol)

Utterly unbelievable and was not what I even signed up for for this half of the anime. Of course it just had to be one of my characters. I keep watching anime and reading stories and am at a loss why writers must insist on writing stories in such a way to be so painful and cruel to fans of key important characters. Why cant everyone you know always succeed and be victorious? Winning characters are the very foundation to good story telling and are key to making us feel good. I want to feel good and be left with good memories of it, not be filled with sorrow and consistently thinking of these for days, weeks, and months to come.

Ultimately, I wanted this instead of this. If only that one mistake wasn't made I would have finally got them to team up and such. I will never be able to forget this moment which is probably up there for the most memorable moments I can think of in anime for quite some time. He was so close even and went out in such an epic and flashy light show that made him all awesome. That onslaught of cool bubbles attacks made the entire anime just plain worth it and everything. Caesar honestly became one of my favorite parts of this anime and he was just so phenomenal even. Just that one mistake and when the narrator said it, I was like oh no, and started to tear up, and then when he weakly and feebly tried to attack back, and then when he screamed his precious Joseph's name as he went out dying and then Joseph screaming out his name too and neither responding back, it was just too much. If only he could have answered or got up some way, but then the stone fell and crushed him sealing it and then the moments of tears and tears. I don't think Ill be able to look at screencaps of the moment without tearing up. To me, Caesar will forever live on and grant me a good end (unless theres a revival ripple?).

The music used during both battle moments this episode was really really amazing and fitting. I think my favorite two tracks on the ost, assuming this one gets one as well.

Your posts alone make the show worth watching.

I love me some Jojo, but I have to stay out of this thread because the temptation to troll everyone is too high. Punishment for not supporting this series earlier :-(

That said, DTL should cheer up though.
I wonder how he'll react when Caesar gets revived for the battle against Kars.
