PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

So instead of pointing out that he's comparing what one region gets the entire month of March to what another gets in the last week of February you're pointing out price differences?

I finally finished Bayonetta (The PS3 version isn't as bad as people say) so I should start Vanquish, or Batman: AC, or RDR, or Crysis 2, or the other games on my PS+ backlog. Damn this fucking service. :P

Still sounds like a much better deal to me.

Then where were you guys when free codes were given out like candy? I feel like I'm stealing. I've never played Sleeping Dogs, ME3, DoA5, Mortal Kombat, Motorstorm, f1 racers and now I get them all for free. Well over $65 in content. And I still have two free months in codes after March.

What a bad argument. We get SO much more than $50 worth of content in a year. That's Plus's awesomeness in a nutshell.

Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about. The difference in quality in a year's worth of Plus content between both regions is huge. Plus costs about as much as a single retail game in both regions.

Could someone sum up US Plus releases for February for me?

Plus today's update. Does EU get the amount of discounts NA gets?

Why do people compare the EU and US months so quickly, doesn't the EU update include EVERYTHING for the month to come while the US updates are week to week? So this is only the first of 4 updates to come for US.

for those comparing this update to DoA and ME... remember this is a feb update not march... this completes the feb list

so for EU you got
Sleeping Dogs
Quantum Conundrum
F1 Race Stars
WipEout 2048 (PS Vita)
Lumines Electronic Symphony (PS Vita)
Dust 514 Starter Pack

and for NA you got
Guardians of Middle Earth
Closure (PS3)
Vanquish (PS3)
Mega Man Maverick Hunter X (PSP & Vita)
Plants vs zombies
Dust 514 Starter Pack

so it's not as different as you would think.
personally I am happier with the NA list than EU as megaman and plants will actually get a decent amount of play. I owned most of the other games on both lists and those barely got any play (aside from vanquish which i beat years ago)

it's not even the first of 4 updates, it's the last of this month's updates.

Overall this month was pretty good for US+, but sadly not for me.
Vanquish -> Owned and beaten already
MMHX -> Owned twice and beaten 4 times already
Closure -> Owned on PC
PvZ -> Got the PS3 version already with PS+, but haven't beaten it yet. But this kind of game fits a handheld better than a home console. So I might finish it on Vita instead.

March update is awesome for EU, but since my Vita is connected to my US account, I use EU PS+ for PS3 only. So far Vita US PS+ > Vita EU PS+, so it's pretty good for me :)

I just hope we don't get PS3 games that EU already got :P

Because Europe always ends up having a better lineup than North America when it's over. ALternatively, compare next month's Euro lineup to this month's American one. Or this month's American and Euro lineups.

We don't get even a fraction of the discounts.

The US didn't have it so bad in Feb. Guardians of Middle Earth was our Game of The Month in January, and when we got Vanquish everyone in the US was asking for it.

lol, I know what you mean...I rarely buy new now and when I do (MGS on Vita) I shoot myself in the foot lol

to answer your Q I'd play RDR - best game this gen IMHO

When you are actually giving away all the good games who cares about discounts. In NA its better to use free trials or 3 months at a time to take advantage of the big sales that interest you.

Is Retro/Grade good? It seemed like an interesting concept and I was looking forward to it prior to release, but then it kinda just came and went.

It's true, I do always miss out on the free codes. :(

The fault lies with SCEA for drip feeding us our content while SCEE gives their users a full preview for the following month.

It's a good little title. Definitely worth the $3.

I like the drip feed though, something to look forward to every Monday. Instead of the alternate EU is "OMG METAL GEAR FOR VITA COMING!....March 30th..".

The cynical view is that they drip-feed because putting the whole month out there would make the comparison too stark for many.

*shrug*

:)

Yes, very good. I should really play it more. I can't remember how I got it for free. Maybe the PSNStores stream?

There's a demo, which I strongly recommend. I personally liked the demo a lot, and would've happily purchased it at full price if I wasn't worried about lack of replayability. It's a simple music rhythm game, but it oozes 90's PC demoscene cool, even in the menus.

Actually I probably would've gone ahead and bought it a lot earlier except for Europe PS+ getting it for free the day it launched. I've been holding out for a better deal, and this is about as good as it's going to get, especially since I want the soundtrack too.

Yeah I guess I can't really go far wrong for $2.44

Already got a few bucks in my wallet after a certain debacle last week :<

It's also a smart way to prevent people who only subscribe in 3 month chunks from making an informed decision

It's good, yeah. I didn't find it quite as addictive as a lot of great rhythm games, but it's fun. Nice amount of content in the form of missions and unlockables.

It's certainly worth $2.50 or whatever.

I know exactly what you're talking about, but you're wrong.

My point is that Plus offers a huge amount of content for the price to begin with, so it isn't unbelievable at all that a more money spent on the service also brings in a relatively huge amount of content. It makes perfect sense, actually.

$15 more than $50 is an increase of, what, 30%? So EU Plus should be about 30% better than US Plus?

... Seems about right to me.

have to trade in MGS:HD on vita ASAP. bought physical because its such a large game but I'll download for free if I can make a few quid back on it.

DoA 5 also makes it more likely I'll get it on vita too. Smart Sony

I recently bought it from a Gaffer for $17. I think I'll hold on to it regardless of whether or not MGS HD comes to US PS+. I only have a 4GB memory card anyway, and I think it will retain enough resale value even if it's on PS+.

By that logic, games in Europe should have 30% more content.

I know it's a Vita sale and all, but for the cross-buy games (MotorStorm, PSASBR, Sound Shapes), do we get both versions or just the Vita one (I'm gonna go with the later, but had to ask)?

EDIT: Wrong thread.

But on then note of PS+, seems like a recurring theme that the US gets better discounts while we get the better games here in Europe.

Def. not with PSASBR because you only got the cross buy with the PS3 version. I'd imagine that you would with the other two since they are the same price.

Vanquish is 3 hours long so do that. Then Batman, which shouldn't take too long. After do Crysis 2. While you do that you might get a little burnt out (I played it on hard mode and it took a while to beat). Then do RDR, it's super long so I would save it for last.

My local dentist was passing out vouchers to download Plants vs Zombies for free for Halloween.

Let that sink in for a moment.
