Ep 45

Boring. The stuff shown in this episode should have happened much earlier in the series, furthermore had it been done earlier there could have been more depth developed for the characters who were central to this episode. At this point in the series I really don't care what or why things are as they are, I just want them to reach their goal and get it over with. The revelations in this ep weren't exciting in any way and ten minutes would have been enough instead of a whole episode. The quality...well I don't really need to mention that now do I :/

Can someone in this thread explain to me why I'm still watching this series every week?

This one is better:

Them and Umakoshi deserved a better show.

Eden is probably one of the more acceptable characters in the series. Yuna...I don't know what Yuna is there for. At the beginning I thought she could be a good addition to the story but she ended up being useless. I just feel that for each episode they are trying too hard to make Yuna have a relevant role in the series. Why? She's been utterly useless and unimportant throughout most of the series, why would anyone care now? She's annoying and I'm suspecting that the creators are aware of that and just want to troll their audience.

Japanese fans are starting to speculate that since there's still no announcement of anything replacing Saint Seiya Omega's time slot, that the show might transit into a second series immediately after it ends. I'm not sure if the world is ready for that much more pain! Lol.

I don't think they're aware. I think they wrote it using a modern form of automatic writing.

After everything I've seen in this anime I'd say that could have a very big chance of being true :lol Love the gif btw :lol

Dear goodness no don't let that happen. I'd be more happy if they just let episode 20 loop over and over again.

If it happens all of us will be back to watch the second series because we all love self-torture

"Saint Seiya Omega! In April, a NEW CHAPTER BEGINS!"

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Want that Vanguard.

But oh wow, didnt think Saint Seiya Omega would go that long...will they really lose against Mars-sama or something, is the lady a new antagonist?

Still need to watch this weeks episode.

how is this possible

Is Omega even popular enough to get a second season?

No, that's what makes it HILARIOUS!

At the beginning I thought she could be a good addition to the story but she ended up being useless.

She consistently did a lot more than Souma, Ryuho, Haruto and Eden during the entire first half of the series. It's actually pretty ridiculous to argue differently; out of the 5 non-Kouga main characters she is the only one that had a real role in the first half of the story.
Mainly because she was actually in it!

She is actually the most popular new character. Knowing Toei, they probably just give her screentime because people like her; that's how they write Precure.
Seiya is the most popular character, tho.

How....just how?! The damn flashback was bad enough with how they plotholed Ikki and yet somehow...?

I can only hope there will be new staff on it----or the elder series ones staging a coup.

That doesn't say much considering that the characters (excluding Eden) you mentioned brings nothing of value to the show and are basically non-existant or very insignificant when it comes to the story. Hell even Ryuho who AT LEAST should have had a relevant role when you consider his background, brings nothing to the table. All that screen time given to her and I, as a viewer, still feel no connection to her character. She just feels like the character who has to "be there" so the main character has some kind of companion. I would have been satisfied with Eden, Aria and Kouga only, that would have been enough :/

Can't even believe she's popular lol.

How does this show even get a second season? According to posts here it's not even popular so how is it possible? Did someone in the staff think "Hey this show has been great, a masterpiece indeed! Let's give it another run!" ?

Earth will be destroyed and a new peaceful life will be created on Mars, this time Mars and his minions will protect the world while the antagonists are Koga & Co.

People thought this was bad? I thought it was really good. I started to feel a bit bad and sorry for Ludwig and all that he had to go through involving Misha even and then his pursuit of justice. So tragic.

Loved all the action, quite intense, and looked and felt all epicish. Sure the shield broke but it was a noble effort, I guess. Hope the further episodes are on this level.

S2 of SSOmega may actually be by a compeltely different staff; Kunio Tsujita mentioned on Twitter that episode 51 is the last episode he is working on. The fact that S2 was announced in a Sunrise magazine has people wondering about it...

Speaking of Tsujita, he also confirmed the news of a second season: https://twitter.com/92on/status/305368491001798656

She is the only thing Kouga and Aria have that somewhat resembles a normal human relationship; Kouga would be even flatter if she wasn't in the show.
Plus the recent DARK COSMO BLOCK bullshit they are taking out of their asses that will make her integral to the story for the ending of the first half (episode 50 is supposed to be about her)... but I guess that's kind of what you were complaining about.

Part of me is happy for a second seasson even if this means that they WILL put an Ikky cameo.

They CAN'T leave him out of this

There was a sort of "update" recently in a magazine article about the future of Saint Seiya. The movie is now slated for 2014, so we won't be seeing anything new anytime soon.
Noooo :( Been looking forward to see more stuff from the movie. I know I shouldn't judge it just from one picture but that picture looked so bad-ass.

If it does have a new staff I hope things will be better but I have no hope about this for now. If it's the same staff then I don't know if my body can take another season of this, imagine if Umakoshi did the whole season :(

shiiit. i thought this show would be killed after one season. i kept watching just because i don't like to leave unfinished stuff.

now it is getting a S2 and, meanwhile, Lost Canvas remains stopped? i never asked for this.

something funny is that this show might air in the same season as the new Sailor Moon and that'd be a complete throwback to mid 90s afternoons for me since both series' originals aired almost simultaneously back in the day in my country. hopefully the new Sailor Moon isn't shit like this show. at least i wasn't too fond of the original Saint Seiya but i'll rage if Sailor Moon gets fucked up.

I still can't believe this thread gets bumped weekly, and of duckroll of all posters. Every week since the start of the series I've lurked here in hopes of finding news of a possible cancellation of this garbage, but instead i see that a new season is coming; WTF. I just want them to finish Lost Canvas and end this shit.

Good thing SSO is getting a new season. Not really that good, but not really bad. At least, Saint Seiya is still relevant.

Just watched first Ep. It's not that bad, I like the art style. Then again, I wasn't really a big fan of Saint Seiya to begin with.

Only nostalgia saves the original Saint Seiya... it's really pretty bad.

Steel saints, again?
Fuckity fuck.
They were the epitome of filler, horrible anime ideas from the original series, and I believe they could fit very well in this clusterfuck of a series.
*sigh*

I'm not a big fan of SS either. I just like the idea of a new show based on a show I used to watch as a kid, and I like the previous works of its character designer and animator in the previous works.

I don't get any :(

Are there many Omega merchandises? All I see is a figurine of Yuna and a Figuarts of Kouga. It's not on the SCM line, which is kind of obvious because of the suit designs. But I really don't see any?

Well .. they were bad because they were useless filler .... now they are thinking the entire non filler season based around the idea that there is a steel saint, so that MIGHT work.

Just trying to be extremaly optimistic here =|

Wait! You're telling me that the Lost Canvas anime really stops at the end of the 26th episode?
And wtf is going on with that show and wth happened with Saint Seiya Next Dimension?

It does stop after 26 episode if you want more you'd need to read manga.
It's almost 2 years since the last ep of LC now. I thought maybe after Omega ended there would be a chance but now ...

<Sorry for OT>

As a Saint Seiya fan who couldn't stomach the silliness of Next Dimension how bad is Omega it?
I mean on a scale of Next dimension to 10?

lol, came in here hoping to try and give this a chance but it's full of hate.
Don't let the hate here decide it for you. Give it a chance (which you've done) and see if you like it or not. Never worth it to go after others opinion until you've given it a chance.

Also I think the hate here is mild compared to the Sword Art Online thread. The hate in that thread...damn lol.

You people do know that Lost Canvas was done by an entirely different studio, not Toei, right? Lost Canvas is cancelled, but it had nothing to do with Omega. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the second season, if only due to the possibility of a season based on an actual sanctuary vs sanctuary war scenario, which is a rather obvious idea but both the anime and manga have always avoided it, going with bronzes vs everyone or bronzes + a few golds vs everyone.

Way incredible episode. I dont think there was nary a dull moment, excellent action and so many cool attacks. Pegasus Ryu sei ken, Sei sui ken both never get old and I love how they looked for it, then Eden, Eden was awesome
almost was so proud when he like defeated Mars, first time though too bad he fell second time at least he entrusted his will to Kouga, hopefully he wont be defeated.
. I think this episode to me, certainly made up for the dull moments that were present this whole arc. It had everything I wanted after so many episodes of Saint Seiya Omega, teamwork, budding friendship among rivals, intense drama, epic abilities, and all of my favorite tracks on the ost (most seemed like they came from ost 1...).

Plot was just a bit predictable I think, felt like I even predicted what would happen. I liked it.

I'm so glad the final arc is going to be the exact opposite of what DTL would want. Other than Umakoshi*, that will definitely be the best part about it.

*
I STILL BELIEVE

Episode 46

Much better episode than the previous one (and other recent eps) but man for the most part this was an ugly episode. There's barely any animation going on, felt like I was reading a book page by page, oh and spam attacks of course. So...

Bad parts for me: Ugly episode, non-existant animation, spamming attacks and predictable moments.

Good parts for me: Story progressed good enough and I'm satisfied that it only took
one episode to show the Mars vs Kouga-Eden fight
which honestly feels long enough.

I just want to say this is an episode you're supposed to like, supposed to be excited about, an episode you'd want to remember from this show
who wants to remember this show...
. You had bunch of "big moments" in this episode and so I feel that it should have had much better production values. It certainly deserved better, shame about the quality.

edit: Still love the soundtrack of this show. The best part of it.
