You play as a Shadow Marshal - a top-ranked special forces operative in charge of keeping a delicate balance between the Vektans and the Helghast - a situation you appear to have lost control of.
"The Shadow Marshal is something we first introduced in the first Killzone, and that's the guy who's going to take charge of what's happening in this world," says Shadow Fall's game director, Steven ter Heide.
"There's a series of escalating events that will happen across the game and you need to make sure the cold war stays where it is. As you know these things can become a powder keg ready to explode, so that's sort of the premise where we're coming from with the game," he tells CVG
You know, I get the feeling that flamethrowers are going to be the new bows. Everyone's going to want to show off how they can make fire effects now.Oh shit! Missed it.
Ask them if they're going to render the flamethrower like it used to be now that they have a lot more to play with: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIHpgQdQYk8
KZ3's controls felt fine, but everything else about KZ2 should return. This includes the head bobbing, animations, weapon sway, recoil, damage stats, and health.
This^. GG should return to the Kz2 style of gunplay.
Would be nice if this opened with a montage video, with the first scene being a closeup of a drop of blood slowly trickling down someones face. The camera pans out to this:

Instant success.
Can someone give me a summary of what happened in KZ3? I saw the big timeline thread but I really just want to know in like two sentences what happened in that game if anyone could be bothered.
It's the very last thing on the timeline (scrolllll). ;pCan someone give me a summary of what happened in KZ3? I saw the big timeline thread but I really just want to know in like two sentences what happened in that game if anyone could be bothered.

I think Rico must die in-game, by the player hand, and not off camera.

Killzone 2/3 are the only fps games of this gen, where there is big issues with the controls. Now, of course you can argue that the controls are fine; but when so many people have issue with them (including those who enjoyed the games) and it also being the only fps that I can think of where there were so many complaints- there is a problem and I think it is alienating to those who aren't yet fans.
What do you guys think of the new HGH leader from the trailer? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUZJTjns6Qg
He has a calm and sophisticated voice, I imagine him to look like quite the gentlemen, nowhere near the passion of Visari though
I must be the only Rico fan in the world. He was awesome in every game.
Truly the life of the ISA.

Anyone else realize Rico resembles Drake?
If Drake fused with Ice Cube.
What is the login/password of the press site to download the 1080P trailer?
Given that Killzone 3 began as a preemptive ISA strike against the Helghan homeworld, I shared your hope that the next Killzone game would take a more sympathetic view of the Helghast as an oppressed people. Even as I watched the attack unfold in the Shadow Fall stage demo, I hoped that the uncloaked Helghast walking towards the player would reach out his hand and help the player up, revealing that you are playing as a Helghast this time around. But then came the knife in the neck, and then came the trailer with voiceover that sounded like a terrorist manifesto. The arch-villain Helghast are certainly still in effect in Shadow Fall, but I think the setting gives us good reason to hold out hope for a more nuanced narrative.
I was thinking that was exactly would happenGamespot - What We Crave From Killzone: Shadow Fall
Never thought of that! It would have been so awesome
They fixed the controls in KZ3. The high input lag was removed and so were the deadzones. It's as responsive as any Battlefield game.Killzone 2/3 are the only fps games of this gen, where there is big issues with the controls. Yeah, if anything I was shocked when the saboteur got stabbed. The whole lead up felt like the beginning of HL2 where you're going through security and suddenly the Combine guard reveals he's actually your buddy Barney.

Yes. I think KZ3 is a more enjoyable game to play, simply from a playability perspective but KZ2 still had the better campaign, better enemy hit reactions etc.
Is there anything on PC that offers the same weight as KZ2? Genuine question, because it's unique in that respect as far as I know. I know a lot of people hated it, butI'm playing KZ2 at the moment and I almost want to stop playing because of the shitty controls. And shitty framerate. Good thing that the controls are better in KZ3. Playing shooters on PC really spoiled me I think lol

As a person who dug KZ2's controls, I think Hard Reset on PC comes close to conveying that same weighty feel. I love Hard Reset, it's made by the Painkiller guys and has a fun weapon upgrade system. Is there anything on PC that offers the same weight as KZ2?
