Feels good not to have a single fucking game on Origin.
According to the PC Gamer article, Origin's community manager originally said that people could seek refunds if they wished. Of course, if you look at the source thread now, you'll see that the community manager edited his post today to sound much more non-committal.

I don't get how this works. When software becomes downloadable you suddenly don't have the right to have a faulty copy repaired, replaced, refunded or otherwise compensated for because...?

99% of the people in this thread are going to get the next EA game, continue to support this shit and complain anyway

What's considered the best sim city?
I have the snes version, sim city 3000 unlimited and sim city 4 which I got off the origin free games fiasco but have never played.

Has any company ever successfully launched a high-profile online game without having this issue? It keeps happening time and time again.
Sim City 4 Deluxe plus mods ranks right up there at #1 if you polled 100 Sim City fans.

My big problem with 4 is that it seems like it's a pretty big hassle to track down all the mods and the game seems awfully finicky on working on many systems.
I really don't see why anyone would want a complete refund for an outage of one day. I'll have to try to get my Internet bill credited a few times every month when it slows down.

2 days now and i haven't been able to play a game i paid $60 for.I really don't see why anyone would want a complete refund for an outage of one day. I'll have to try to get my Internet bill credited a few times every month when it slows down.
Great?
You're making it seem like every EA game has pulled this shit, and that is simply not true.

No, really EA, please keep giving me reasons not to support you or your games. Cliffy B was wrong.
feel free to do soCan I save this quote for posterity the next time an EA game is announced?
When it slows down? Why didn't you say when it disconnects? That would've made sense.
lmao. how is this even legal.
YOU CAN'T NOT GET THE REFERENCE, YOU WILL REGRET THIS!!!!!!!!Don't get the reference, can anyone help me with it?
Why on Earth would you assume that I was only taking into account always online drm failure into my decision not to buy games on Origin?

also his sneakers went from red to yellow. They changed the 2 to a 3 in the game. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
3000 is still my favorite. Good mix of solid gameplay, music, humor.
Pretty sure that's one of Sim City 2000's advisors. Now that I think about it, I'm almost 100% certain one of them always badgers you about having too many roads.
(Sim City 4 does the same thing. Streets are always endangered.)
its an old joke from cities XL

You have too many servers.
You should remove some to save on maintenance.
Gotta say, GAF called this months ago, as soon as Always-On was announced. Good job, EA.
Personally, I think 2000 and 4 are the best. I don't think too many people will talk about computer versions of 1 or 3000, even though they are great games.
I actually stopped playing 3000 and 4 shortly after buying them many years ago because they would crash after about an hour or two pf play for me, so I stuck with 2000. Lately, I've been playing 4, and even though it does crash occasionally on one of my machines, it is amazing.

I know it probably has been asked a couple of times, but what happens in 3 years or so when EA decides to shut down the servers?
I don't know how I missed that FIFA story.
Absolutely reprehensible.
