Never drove any kind of motorcycle before... was driving back home 2 months ago when I saw the newly released Ninja 300 and... I was in love. Got my driver license (for bikes) 2 weeks ago and going to pick it up today afternoon, those are yesterday's photos while the bike was being assembled and tested.

I must say that I'm kinda afraid of driving it back home, first time and everything... hope it all goes well. Is there a bikeGAF thread of some sorts?

OH MY GOD WHY Edit: DID YOU GET RID OF THE ENORMOUS PICTURES?!

Two-wheel GAF has your answers. You shoulda taken the MSF course before-hand.

Remember! Push right to go right, push left to go left! Counter-steer that mofo!

holy shit, how are you gonna get on such a big bike?

also, no one is as excited for this as you. Why make a thread?

Best of luck. hope you are ready for broken fairings.

PS. Its called a motorcycle endorsement. Not a "drivers license" for bikes lol.

Did they replace the Ninja 250 with the 300? I had a 250 and it was a great beginner's bike. Take the MSF course ASAP.

Health to enjoy, reminds me I need to get back in biking though have only had a 125, having had my test for a while be nice to get a 600

You didn't have a license
You bought a brand new Ninja 300
And you're afraid to drive it home

Drive safe man, seriously.

Should have asked bikeGAF before. We would have told you to get a used bike as your first bike, because the chances of dropping the bike are very high.

But I don't want to play Debbie Downer here, congrats on the bike!

Damn that looks nice. I've been trying to get a used 250 myself but it has been hard finding the right one on craigslist. The new generations look so sick but I can probably only afford the older generation bikes.

Also, how much did that cost you?

Seems like an excessive bike for a beginner, but have fun.

I get bugging him about buying the bike before having a license, but this isn't even true. Most people start on a 250 and this is just Kawi's replacement for that line. The bike may look aggressive but it's in no way excessive. A 600 or Busa would be excessive.

Hmm, let's see....

a) OP is immature enough to put *_* in his thread title.
b) Buys a 300 Ninja without any real motorcycle training.

First crash in 2 months? What's the over/under? Please prove me wrong, OP.

The price is excessive. A 300 is fine for a beginner, the entry price on the other hand for someone just starting to ride is excessive.

Sorry I wasn't clear.

It has all of 35HP. He made the logical decision of starting with a small displacement and slow bike. He'll be fine.

Not like he went out and bought a 600...or 1000
