Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | March 2013 | Carving an Independent niche

Remember when he tweeted this the day before the PS4 reveal event?

Yeah, he can go back to his middle management cubicle and shut up.

Except a lot of indie games have come into fruition for Vita since this guy got into the public. I'm not too upset that he teases stuff, considering he also gets stuff done.

Shahid said he would've signed more Vita games but he was too busy playing that fishing game from Vlambeer on iOS.

RIP Monster Hunter, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Batman, Good Assassin's Creed, Grand Theft Auto, Good Call of Duty, Borderlands, and more RIP

I didn't buy Vita to end up with an indie Steam Box. But whatever floats your boat.

Something tells me that those games would have been beyond his reach either way.

I didn't specifically buy it for that either. But he's never talked about getting big publishers' games on Vita, so I don't know why you should expect him to. I personally bought Vita for games. I don't care whether they're indie titles (what Shahid specializes in dealing with) or big budget titles.

Completely see what you're saying, but Sony did announce Vita remote play with most PS4 games which could have been what he was alluding too but in a much douchier way.

Alma Chapter 17: THE REAL NINJA GAIDEN STARTS HERE Pt. 2 D:

I know this isn't too reliable but at least it gives a window....

Eh, I've always found her easier then her first form.

Yes, but the camera, duder.

Anyway, made it to chapter 17 but ate all my potions. I should go back to town to buy some more I guess because the opening room is kicking my ass. I can't counter for shit. :(

No actually crinale spoke about this in the other page.

https://twitter.com/wondergoo_game/status/313644107845218304

A Japanese game store publicity guy says that Vita's software sales overshoot expectations (based on hardware units sold) to the point that it's not even funny anymore :P

https://twitter.com/wondergoo_game/s...56398120636416

The guy just editted his tweet & explains why it's not funny.
(It makes them difficult to ballpark how many Vita software copies to order)

How did you infer a bomba?

First tweet:

Book of pace "Oboro Muramasa" vita came up. This title, because it is the ordered products announced before the main reduction Vita, purchase order number should now be fewer overall. I think the product itself, but they are not the Limited Edition, manufacturers are more benefits just for us had better be careful and do good!

In Wonder goo VITA is worse than ○ No box: RT @ maiga_k I mean I've been thinking about the number and order number in the spread (laughs), it is not enough at all selling messed say? About the same whether or

Children, don't trust Google.

Hmmm, Sony logo on Epic Mickey 2 box and a blog post by SCEE staff. If Sony have gotten one of their internal studios to port it themselves I'll be annoyed they didn't bother to do the same with Borderlands 2. :/

Maybe this is the start of some deal between Sony and Disney for Vita games. Sony port this, then Vita gets Disney Infinity or whatever else they're cooking up? Gah, I'd love if they ported that unreleased XBLA Star Wars: First Assault title to Vita, but it's probably not coming anywhere.
SCEE's published ports of licensed kids games on the PSP before, I would expect this is them trying something similar with the Vita. They didn't do the PSP games internally though, several of them were by Spanish studio Virtual Toys.

The timing's weird, but you gotta press the attack button the second you see the hit effect against your guard.
It took me awhile to get the hang of it, and I really only use it against those berserker knight dudes with the Dabi or UF.

It's more when they transform. I can't counter attack that multihit and they keep abusing it.

I finally beat Life of Pixel today. I was playing the last stage when I reached my stop on the train, but I got so into it I just sat in the station till I finished it off.

God, the game can be frustrating at times, especially pool of death. Most of the frustration could have been avoided if they just allowed for a user controlled camera, but the good thing is the core mechanic (i.e. jumping) is so satisfying. This game is what I imagine little big planet controls like in my dreams. For fuck's sake Media Molecule, fix the god damn jump.

Anyway, I really really see good potential for PSM as a platform for small 2 dollar games like these, where devs can make a game available for the Vita, and a host of other mobile devices without even requiring a devkit. I am not suggesting that people buy bad games just for the sake of supporting the platform, but Life of Pixel is, imo, a good game, and I think that Super Icon deserves our support.

Final Word. Buy Life of Pixel! it is only 2 dollars!

Im glad someone hates lbp's jump mechanic as much as I do.

Acquire’s recently teased PlayStation Vita game is called Mind Zero (stylized MIND≒0), the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

The game, developed in collaboration with Class of Heroes studio Zerodiv, is a dark and stylish school dungeon RPG featuring character designs by Kyo, scenario by Kushinachiminato, and sound by Zizz Studio. It will have fully voiced scenes and 3D battles.

The game will have two worlds—a crazy mental one and a physical one—and players can use special mind powers to call forth stand-like things. (A JoJo reference, I guess?).

Find a set of characters and their voice actors below:

Protagonist (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita)
Heroine (voiced by Rina Satou)
Friend (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura)
Sensei (voiced by Takehito Koyasu)

The game is due out this summer for 6,279 yen in Japan.

It's being described as a Dungeon RPG, which in Japan typically means Wizardry-style (first person, multi character party, turn-based).
Yhat gematsu article mention interesting world and some focus on story, with voiced character and all. The few 1st person dungeon games I played didnt seems like it focus on story at all, which is the primary reason I never play them much beyond first couple hours.

*Co-Sign* That's been my experience as well. One of my favorite purchases for ma Vita so far. I'd love some other great platforming type game on the Vita. Anyone else have any suggestions? And I've already got/beat Rayman (which is another excellent platformer). Any hope of Super Meat Boy getting a Vita port?

Saw an interesting post by Crazy Viking Studios about their upcoming side scroller Volgarr the Viking:

I promise I will look into Vita/PSN development. I can't promise Volgarr will make it onto it. I plan on getting a Vita shortly and looking into what their SDK is like. We'll see. :) Never say never.

Maybe nothing will come of it, but man..Vita seems like the perfect place for a game like that. We should let the devs know that we'd support it..lol

Any ideas anyone? Kinda worried my Vita is on the fritz

I had that happen a few times. Quit the game when it hangs at the loading and reboot/restart it. It should work then.

I'm thinking something fucked up two firmwares ago.
