As someone who hasn't been following Giant Bomb for terribly long, why do they seem to hate the idea of another Endurance Run? Just the idea of having to do a new video every day and using up all that time?

More like the fan base is full of people who will tell them they are playing wrong everyday.

yeah, it also takes up vinny / drew's time or both if one is on the couch which means no video production for that time

Yeah they said that they set up is kinda convenient, though at this point it's more of joke about how much their fans are pestering them to do it.

I think that is it mostly. Its just a lot of work. They film in one long 5-hour session. then it is a lot of work for them to cut/upload all those individual prices. It will happen again...when there is less going on.

Work is hard and Jeff and Ryan are kind of lazy

Its why the output for subscriber videos normally takes a dive after few months after the BLLSL. Its why encyclopedia bombastica stopped happening after 3? episodes. And yes its why they don't do ER's yearly and why if they do one again it will probably be for a 8 hour game or something dumb.

Without a Enduance Run or something similar watch as they have no video content between May and Mid august outside of e3 just like last year and the year before.

Because there are a ton of other games they would rather be focusing on, both at work and in private. So it is a roll of the die (get it!??!) if they are going to enjoy the Endurance Run game. It was almost not happening with Persona 4 for awhile.

Some very, some that could have been but the answers gave them more depth than they deserve.

Also I totally called the no ER announcement.... except I felt like they were waiting for the question to be asked and it never was. The last question started with a mention of Endurance Runs and Ryan and Vinny's faces lit up... then it transitioned into a question about eSports.

They would've done a new ER had only someone asked. Now we're screwed for another year.

Next panel someone from GAF has to bite a bullet and ask "When it the next Endurance Run" just to see what happens.

Has anyone ever even asked that during a Q&A? Even the early ones?

I think someone asked the question last year, but called it an "Extended Play" by mistake, and got grilled for that instead

Totally disagree with you lumping Jeff in there. He works out of his house with his videos, seemingly has a lot of meetings, and still appears on a lot of quick looks. He built Giantbomb into what it is today because of his hard work, and he is totally passionate about video games. Jeff is many things, but he doesn't strike me as lazy in the least.

I've had funkystudent on ignore for over a year and I'm glad to see my decision is still justified.

Jeff strikes me as somebody who's really bad at doing nothing. He's always doing something, maybe it isn't fantastically worthwhile (like responding to countless questions on his tumblr) all the time, but that's more of a general office job vice (where the work of three weeks is done in two days before deadline, after the rest has been spent checking e-mails for the millionth time, reading Facebook, or googling funny images).

Your totally right. Whatever Jeff is isn't lazy. He probably puts the most actual "work" work into the site.

Really wish they set that up a bit better we barely made the cutoff for GB panel after getting out from the Mega64.

Seriously though, I'm surprised Jeff didn't mention the fact that he had his own point repeated nearly word-for-word back to him on the last Bombcast when they were talking about the oversight from Maxis in making the Sim City regions dependant on good region-mates
 
That walking dead quicklook is some jaded, cynical shit. If you're not going to even consider giving a game a chance, why bother covering it at all?
