Only the R1 and L1 triggers.

Face buttons are digital, which is a good thing helps reduce latency. The L2/R2 triggers Im sure will remain analogue.

We're talking pennies here once we take out all the electronics, the DualShock4 has a mic port and does all the electricity and communication so the headset can be as simple and cheap as a pair of disposable iPhone earbuds (which go for $10 separate, but they ain't 10 bucks to produce.)

Any bluetooth/USB/Optical headset should work. Sony aren't Nintendo.

i don't think so, but it's on the vita, so why wouldn't it be? it seems like an obvious inclusion. they had previously said it wasn't possible to do on the ps3. it's one of the most requested features for ps3.
