The student has surpassed the master!
I had the same thing with Puzzle Quest, we shared the PSP and I dumped quite a few hours into it and she was better. We did pretty even with DQIX, she's a grinder at heart, loves RPG's and just collecting things.
Right now we both have 3DS XL's with Monster Hunter 3U. It's been a blast playing side by side with her (fiance, been together 5 years as of 3 days ago).
I really wish she would have gotten into WoW as it would have been a lot of fun for 'adventuring' which she loves to do in games, but maybe it's a good thing.
I will say, watching her slam the 3DS closed and yelling "Fuck that fucking peco piece of shit!" was pretty amusing. I didn't mean to laugh but I let out a giggle and she's like "You do the same thing, damnit!". She's such a proper thing it was just funny. Never cusses, drives the speed limit, nothing really angers her.
Monster Hunter, it's bliss at one moment and infuriating the next.
But going on MP quests is awesome. We hoped DQIX had a better MP than it did but I think MH is what we were looking for (this is our first outing). The problem is that the difficulty really ramps up.
There's not enough good co-op games out there that she can really get into with me. She's not into the overly violent stuff (games or otherwise) so that knocks out about 90% of co-op games.
I only date good looking girls unfortunately, which means they aren't interested in games. I try not to play games when they are around in order to keep their perception of me as godly as possible.
Ha, nice try.
