I don't know what to think about this new Mewtwo Forme. It seems sacrilegious to do so to such a, well, legendary Pokemon like that. I need to see it some more before I formulate an opinion on it. Supposed it's not fake, of course.
 
Oh, cool theory. Berserk Gene is only found in Gen II right? What if it is returned?

But then the "creation theory" existed in Gen 1 with Mew. And again, only Shaymin has the lack of lore in Gen IV, much like the swords of justice and Keldeo in V. Nearly all of the legendaries have some form of side quest.

A lot of "detractors" only see Pokemon as-is. They don't really view the Pokemon other than "oh it looks like x". I mean, people hate Klink but they don't really think about Klink.

While I hope it's a fake I would really relish the rage it'd give to Mewtwo fans. Hahahahaha!
 
I think it's quite likely to be true. It's certainly the most airtight fake we've seen in a long time if it isn't.

I do quite like the Majin Buu vibe it's got, but obviously I'm going to need to see the whole design to properly judge.

I'm playing through FireRed currently and I'm pretty sure that Articuno was only foreshadowed when you look through one of the telescopes in the huts between regions while Moltres was a one-liner from someone in the towns below Mt. Ember - at least, that I'd noticed. I've not gone for Zapdos yet, but I've not seen *any* mention of him from anyone.

I'd say only the bird trio have no backstory at all. It feels like they're just... there. Hell, the same thing could be said at Mew and Mewtwo. Then again most of the backstory on legendaries began at Gen II.
 
Looks terrible, but if this is true most people will probably like it as time goes on.

I wonder if Mewtwo and Genesect had a battle, and Genesect cloned and mutated Mewtwo's genes or something.

That form looks really weird. I'm pretty sure Metwo's normal form has a head that is larger than its body. That thing protruding from the back of its head is just weird.
 
I don't really care whether Mewthree is true or not but I'm hoping it is since the overreactions are already so much fun to read.

They released a new poster when Keldeo's new forme was revealed last year that was functionally identical to an old one with the new form subbed in.

This alleged poster isn't completely identical; the background's different, which actually pushes me towards thinking it might be real.
 
man mewtwo is 100% perfect pokemon alredy

would people like to see pokemon evolve a 4th time ? instead of 3
 
OK, in actuality I'm waiting to see a proper look at this new form before I go too nuts. I'm not fond of what I've seen so far, but it's obviously not a good look at this thing so I'll sit back and wait.

For all we know, this form could end up being an "alternative" Mewtwo, rather than an objectively superior form. Unlikely, but still!

The in-fiction explanation for the new form should be neat.
