Kaiju are Japanese monsters like Godzilla and Gamera. Hydreigon borrows heavily from King Ghidorah and same goes for Volcarona and Mothra. Nidoking and Rhydon also share inspiration from Baragon.
And it goes without saying that Tyranitar is based on Godzilla.

What's the general consensus on the MewThree pic? Was that DeviantART photo the origin or is it still considered legit? I really don't mind it at all.

To be fair, Ash's Charizard still isn't that far off the scale in the anime:
The thing is, Ash is a 10 year-old - and an Asian one at that - so he's much shorter than your average white adult man. Statistically speaking, he'd probably be about 4.3 feet tall. So that picture looks about right to me.
Season 1 was still sometimes horrible about scale, though. They've gotten much better. Haxorus, for example, has an average height of 5'11", and...
...Oh look, when compared to an actual adult male its height is perfect.
I know I'm late to the party, but I think the Mewtwo alternate form would look better with one minor change:
Just split his weird head crest/halo into posterior spikes. It's still kind of an iffy design but I think it does wonders to improve it.
What if you just replaced its ears by the horns?

Keyhole is an easy(though LQ) way of watching it legally if you have it.

I'm putting my bets on Mewtwo(three) being real here, there's been NO sign of it being fake, and normally fake Pokemon have been debunked by now.
And I am leaning it towards it being the mythological Mewthree, because:
1. It'd be the first forme to be cross-gen, all formes have been in the same gen. In this case, it'd have to have it's own dex number, unheard of until now.
2. Mewthree exists, it was apparently referenced by Dr Fuji in the first movie as being a second clone, but died with him and the others when Mewtwo went apeshit.
My theory is that Mewtwo found the dead clone, and used his powers from behind the scenes absorbed/injected it into himself to be able to become Mewthree, whether as an evolution or some other method (it'd be a forme if he can change back), but evolutions are usually not done later after it's activation, maybe Mewtwo requires something which he gets a hold of to evolve (or change forme).
It's crazy but I can see it working.
