That contortionist in the brothel scene was so ridiculous. I mean seriously.

I liked Jaime from the start. I still like him - more so - after he saved Brienne from being raped.

But without his sword hand I am unsure what role he can play.

Not ridiculous enough. She kept her panties on.

I was hoping to see Jamie beaten by Rob in a duel, and for Joffery and the Queen to see his head chopped off in front of them. Man, I am sadistic.

Not really. Considering what they did to Ned, I think this would have been a fair bit of retribution.

But it would have been cool to see, for sure. It could still happen. He's not DEAD. Yet. :D

Jamie has really grown on me since I thought he was an arrogant prat to begin with.

His scenes with Tyrion early on in the series made me really like him a lot more, it was great to see him treating Tyrion as, well, a normal person and a brother. Whereas the rest of the Lannisters seem to just step all over him and treat him like trash.

He's been great this season and his relationship/dynamic with Brienne is fantastic.

Can't wait to see what they do with him next.

Waifu.

Jaime Lannister completely overplays his hand.

He can use money to buy a reprieve for Brienne because she's not a wanted person, if they can ransom her for money then that's pure profit for them. Giving up a chance to rape her is not that big a sacrifice for what they might get in return.

Jaime is a completely different story, letting him go would make them traitors to the North. Just because gold worked for her doesn't mean it's going to work for him.

I don't understand why people would like a version like this but not one by the hold steady.

Because it's a) listenable and b) a lot more fitting of the setting?

Can't believe people are defending the use of a crappy pop punk song in Game of Thrones... what's next, Alanis Morrissette singing the end credits of LotR?

This is amusing too, and better than the stupid pop rock song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swfDpFdgOZo

So why did the brothel not take his money?

And the music cutting in seemed like it was due to a shitty rip.

E: Oh I see, he was actually laying the pipe.

you don't know what you're talking about, in terms of music, or in terms of setting the tone of that scene.

curious who the fuck that redhead witch is with her "god of light" shit
in previous season she seems to have legit supernatural powers

So, the whole thing with the brothel was that Tyrion had already paid them and told them to refuse payment as part of his repayment to Pod right?

Also, how the fuck did Jamie and Cersei end up as two of my favourite characters... That ending was spectacular.

EDIT: As an aside, what happened to Lord Umber from Series 1? I saw the actor who played him had his ear bitten off or something recently...

Was I the only one who took it literally? Pod was a virgin and Tyrion wanted to show him a good time so he hired the hookers. But when Pod came back and told them he was basically so good that they wouldn't take gold, Tyrion and Bron who are regular visitors of hookers and always pay for their fun couldn't believe it. So he got the alcohol to celebrate and sit around like bros talking about sex tips.

Put yourself in his shoes... You're caught boning the queen/your own sister. If Robert Baratheon won't take your head off, daddy Tywin will.

I think it's a credit to the actor how we feel empathy for Jamie. He's one of the best characters, even if he is despicable.

While I agree with you that he is playing him very good, I rather credit Martin for good writing(edit: specially coming up with Brienne). It's not exclusive for the series to show sympathy with him.

so did I get this right, is Melissandre going to look for other men with king's blood now to produce more shadow babies?

It was implied like this, yes. Not necessarily that she needs them for babies but you could think she is going to look for them with that speech she gave.

I'll agree on that. Tyrion and Bron had a very curious look on their face. Also tyrion asked like 3 times "you didn't pay for it ?!?!"(irrc) with a strange facial expression.

I took it literally as well. Not everything has to have a hidden twist imo.

edit:

Robb is an awesome king.

Looks like Melisandre is growing tired of Stannis and he knows it.

So Jaimie is the best sword's man ever? .....hope he's left handed.

Also, it strange that Danny was all "Them dragons are mah babies!" last season, but now shes using them as money. I hope there's more to it than that.

Its a trick I am sure. No way she is parting with one of the dragons - the biggest one at that.

I have never read the books so I'm merely speculating, but what I felt from that episode was that she was going to buy the Unsullied and then use them to take over the city. There were a few things that hinted to this, including her kindness to the people crucified and sentenced to death, her adding the translator to the bargain to keep her safe and her general distaste for the guy who kept cursing at her. I have a feeling she could understand at least some of what he was saying, too. That and she made sure the bargain included EVERY soldier, they'd have no defence. And the Unsullied apparently take any command and will do anything they're asked to do. So no protest.

She would never just give her dragons away, anyway. That would be totally out of character.

Glad Jaime had a moment of compassion and saved Brienne. Didn't see the hand thing coming though - yikes!

Daenerys' decision regarding the dragons seemed horrifying to me. Giving a potential enemy a large dragon.

Glad to see other people here think she'll just summon the dragon back to her when she is far enough from the city.

Once the unsullied are "hers" they must do as they are commanded. Im guessing shes gonna tear shit up and take her dragon back with an army. After all he has a dragon that cannot fight versus an army of 8k :)

Poor Jamie. All he ever enjoyed was combat. Hes starting to grow on me despite being an utter fuck the first series.

Plus, we've seen before that her dragons don't like being prisoners or taken away from her very much. And they were much smaller then too.
