This is one of the most shameless and biggest in-app purchase abusing iphone game

Good god. And it isn't even a lot of small microtransactions. They straight up hit you with crazy amounts just to unlock Pokemon, LOL.

Wow. I guess all it needs is a few poor bastards hitting buttons too fast to earn an insane profit.

How the hell does this make it through the app approval process. Apple, c'mon man this is so Busch league its sad.

Wow, $100 for a character, and they give you no warning besides that prompt? I wonder how many people got scammed by this.

Last week I bought a cheap Android tablet for browsing online and reading text guide for games translations and stuff like this.

I went into the market and I started to freak out, is this the thing that people claim to be killing gaming? Like, for real? The amount of garbage was unbearable.

Is there no password verification for in-app purchases? I'm definitely not going to download this and find out the hard way.

Scammers gonna scam. Is there DOA on mobile? They have some interesting pricing schemes for their DLC. Also, curious how much it would cost to download every song for Rock Band 3.

I'm curious about this too. Is there some sort of setup for one-button purchases or anything like that?

Feemium phone games are the goddamn devil. If I see a game that looks cool and it says free, I automatically ignore it as I know it's going to have bullshit in app purchases.

"Where's the app police?"

Good question, IGN. Good question.

Maybe instead of just poking fun at this abomination they should look into this because this shit shouldn't even be allowed on the app store.
It's designed to trick kids who can't even read into clicking "yes" to purchase crap like a character skin for $99. Shameless.

Remember kids, theres absolutely no downside to just letting everyone be a developer of videogames!

All inapp purchases in freemium games are bullshit? How so?

Hey now, that skin is for freaking Charizard! Totally worth it.

Candy Crush Saga lets you buy a 40 dollar cheat.

and there are .99 to 3.99 cheats that you have to buy over and over once you use them.

There's a password verification for all App Store stuff but I'm pretty sure it doesn't ask you for your password if you've entered it recently (like in the last hour or so?).

So a parent could enter their password to download this game for their kids, and then a kid could go fucking nuts with in-app purchases for that first hour without seeing a password prompt. At least I think that's how it works - I remember there being some huge controversy about the Smurfs iOS game for this reason.

They don't need many accidental clicks to turn a profit on this garbage. Apple will filter content based on morality, but apps hoping to trick people into accidental purchases are fine.

There should be a $0.99 limit on ingame purchases. It would vastly improve the entire environment.

No, having no ingame purchases at all would greatly, greatly improve the quality of mobile games. There are ways to make in-game purchases that aren't shit but mobile developers have pretty much shown that they can't do things responsibly. Nothing except completely disabling IAP would save the platform (in terms of quality).
