I think theyre covering all the bases. There have been far too many rumors contradicting eachother that Im not even sure MS knows whats up. Mattrick will go on stage on 5/21 with 2 sets of cue cards and whichever he randomly picks to read from is what theyll go with

People won't boycott the console in any significant numbers because of that unfortunately. And if they do MS will just throw a switch somewhere and turn that requirement off.
I am as well...one thing I am sure of is nextbox controller if similar to 360 will be the superior next gen pad.

I agree that changing specs is impossible. What i think though is 'how' they are gonna advertise it will be way different. The 'ALWAYS ON' doesn't seem like a cool feature anymore with all the rumors.
Yea I would love to see it but lets face it by the time MS force Kinect into the game it won't be worth playing.
It seems like Microsoft will do a more hands-off approach with their European studios. At least that's how I read Phil Spencer's tweets.

I'm really excited about the PS4 and it will probably be my main console next gen but let's be fair, so far there is nothing about that system that is "truly new and unique". So now you're making requirements for MS that don't apply to Sony?
I agree with this and have been saying it for a while, though I'm not sure why you're so bothered by it since we all have the PS4 as an option when the xbox proves to be too weak for some.
You know that button could be mapped to whatever the devs want. It's just mostly used for ingame maps thus "view" sounds better than "back".

They will not show all games on May 21 or they won't show any games at all?
MS will only get two weeks attention until the E3 begins, I don't think that it makes any sense to show the console at the end of May.

The Xbox 360 specs changed a bit before launch.

Except for the fact that your entire argument falls apart without knowing the final and official specs they decided to go for with it. We have absolutely no idea what the final specs will be until they announce them.
Considering how saturated every Microsoft thread becomes with Sony fanboys I would say that would be a no.
They also changed the PS4 RAM specs before reveal also...

In all likely hood the final specs will be identical to what we've seen leaked out by vgleaks and other sites.

Agreed, I never believe rumors until they're proven true. Take the Sony announcement of 8GB for example. How long did we hear about the PS4 having 4GB before that announcement? So from there on It's hard to take these leaks seriously.
But it earned them so much more, so I'd say it was worth it for them.
Of course you'd think that. But I'm sure if vgleaks ran with better specs, no always online and used games being ok, it would be "lol vgleaks".
1. Sony made the change to 8GB of RAM shortly before the event. Many third party devs learned of the change at the same time as us. The leaks/rumors were correct.
2. EDGE have been 100% right with PS4 details and also revealed that Sony were possibly gunning for 8GB.
Baseless accusation.
Outside of Edge, everybody thought it was 4 GB and you just proved my point, nobody (for the exception of some 1st party developers) knew the spec change until that event.

so when durango rumors first started showing up they were all saying it had ddr4 ram is it possible they will actually have this and the dev kits are using ddr3 due to availability issues which the rumors about availability started last year ?
Honest question, what do current Durango dev kits have?
Edit: Alpha kits had 12GB so I guess it would be too late to implement that.
This is all wrong. GAF isn't generally pro Sony, or pro MS or pro Nintendo. GAF is usually pro gamer. When PS3 had a bad start GAF was pro MS. When 3DS had a bad start, people said it was doomed and now people say its great. GAF has been pro Sony lately based on recent events. PS3 having better exclusives and PSN+ is the last 2 years as well as better upcoming exclusives. 360 recently having less exclusives and being more focused with Kinect and media features. Then Sony delivering with PS4 while MS rumours havent been too kind. What do you actually expect, of course GAF will be pro Sony. I personally am not a fanboy to any company, I go where it seems more attractive, and it is obvious from recent events PS4 is more suitable for me, but things can change after E3, but so far everything is pointing towards PS4 being my choice for nextgen console.

Well said. Anybody who says GAF is pro Sony obviously wasn't here during the first few years of the PS3. It was definitely not pro Sony around here. Except for a couple of idiots, most people are pro gamer and not pro console.

I think the only people defending MS, are either huge Halo, Forza, Fable or Alan Wake fans. Or they are too invested into the Live ecosystem and dont want to give up their online profile (achievements) and friends who are also on Live. Or they actually like Kinect and/or media features (have kids, wife who will enjoy these things). These are all actually reasonable things and I see why people would prefer MS for those reasons, so let them enjoy and get hyped for this event, yes I do believe PS4 will end up being more appealing for me and wont bother with Durango. But I know some people are excited for Durango and their might be a few surprises. I want to see a Fable MMO personally.
So basically no matter what you have no real interest in the Durango even if it turns out great?

No I have doubts for Durango based on rumours. I am in this thread for speculation of what MS may show. If Durango turns out better than PS4 then I will have interest in it over the PS4.
