Giant Bomb Thread #4: A thread of perceived slights

Did Jeff say anything about watching or even going to NCR? I'm always surprised by the lack of coverage/commentary of fighting game events, at least in the games media sites I follow. I think the only place I heard talk about EVO at all last year was the 8-4 podcast of all places. I don't think Jeff cares for any of the games there but it could be an interesting follow up to their discussion from a couple bombcasts ago.

The TNT parts where Dave Lang talked about coding old games for the Saturn and stuff was really cool.
The Dive Kick part wasn't.

Is it just me or does Rorie have a tendency to get drunk on a lot of these livestreams?
Nothing against Rorie in his non drunken state, but I've never enjoyed watching drunk people be it on streams or in real life.
Poor Vinny was just sitting there in front of that pc in silence for ages while the rest of the guys was just ignoring him. Poor Vinny.

I don't think Matt was drunk, he just mumbles a lot.

He is not drunk. He had Speech Impidement problems when he was a kid: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=31388237&postcount=16782

I found his ranting to be the most embarrassing aspect of Internet fanboyism brought to life. The other guys were right to rag in him for whining about it.

Pretty much. When I bought my first Mac in 2007 I didn't have any trouble at all really. Sure there are some things that work differently from Windows but you don't think about that after a few days of using OSX.

Then again I never had trouble adapting to new stuff. For a time used Ubuntu and I learned that in no time.

I find the constant apple circle jerk on the internet much more annoying than one person who simply dislikes the interface and would rather not use one.

Eh, glad to see one guy shaking things up, their love for Apple products is a bit weird.
Note I am not judging Apple products :p

I bought my first mac about a year and a half ago. Honestly, I dont see a big difference between Windows and OSX. The changes that affect my everyday computing are minor. I will say that the build quality of my Imac is great, thats perhaps the biggest difference in my eyes. Before I had a laptop that had great internal hardware, but the screen was terrible and it would often get really hot.

We're not on the same Internet, then. There's no apple circle jerk on any places that I go to.

Anyway, I actually think it was smart of Rorie to get a different work machine if he can swing it. Nothing worse than using a tool he finds awkward for work everyday. I just think his whining early on in the show played out in a pretty silly way. I mean "MacBook solid"? There's better quality jabs to be had.

If that's an offensive Apple jab to you then you must really go to a different internet.
