Ritsuko said he had 0% sync rate and thus he cannot pilot an eva anymore
if I'm not mistaken she said she cannot pilot Eva 01, not any Eva

because Eva-01 won't let him, not because he can't. Yui/Rei don't want him piloting.
I always assume thatit was all a lie to prevent him from piloting or give him reason that he's not needed.
not sure if good or bad..
but
wtf did I just watched?

BTW I thought I'd ask, did 3.33 have any differences to 3.0? The runtime was the same if I remember correctly. Also without spoiling, was the Ghibli short good?

No new scenes, but quite a few differences.3.33 is identical to 3.0; no new scenes, though there may have been some animation touch ups here and there.

I like that Utada song.
New Evangelion Movie 4.0: You will (not) enjoy
He went to go save Aynami in 2.22 and then ended up causing the Third Impact without his knowledge. You are adults. You have a right to be angry with how things turned out. Hell, I'd be angry too. To vent it on someone who was technically responsible but didn't mean to cause the Third Impact with all of its atrocities is another thing. I think it's easy to pin the blame and target on Shinji. I feel extremely sorry for him because he was trying to do something right and ended up getting shafted for it. Misato and Asuka as a result suck in this movie. I'm sure others will disagree and try to rationalize their behavior. I have too. I understand their point. Doesn't mean I have to like it though.
Evangelion 4.0: You will (not) watch this POS.
I'll probably watch the fourth movie just to see how much worse it could get.
If you're feeling mixed, I would garner to say it was more bad than good.
Thanks for the info! I'm kind of surprised really. With the impressions here, maybe a few new scenes here and there would have gone a long way. Oh well!
It would have taken a lot more than a few extra minutes to fix this movie. With the impressions here, maybe a few new scenes here and there would have gone a long way.
It's a much quicker turnaround than the last two movies were.

Good lord, that 4.0 preview looks awful.
With any luck we won't see anything shown in the 4.0 preview on the actual movie. Just like we don't see anything from 3.0 preview on the actual movie.
I remember hearing a rumour last year that this is what actually happened.yeh. wonder what happened. based off the preview 2.22 had, it looks like a different movie was being made, but then they scrapped it.

I was excited to watch it this upcoming weekend.
You guys are putting a damper on that excitement.
Why Evangelion 3.33 sucks
- It's not a film, it's a fan fiction circlejerk with pretty images and sound
- There is no cohesion or pacing, it's a sequence of scenes packed together to present certain vague narrative points and makes no attempt to actually tell a story or develop characters
- It feels like a 95 minute intro movie of a videogame which doesn't exist (yet?)
- It throws away everything developed by the previous two films just to try something "different", except that different thing is much worse
- It's stupid
- It's boring
- I hate Anno
- I hate Khara

Sounds like shitty storyboarding.anyone else feels that aspect of ratio the movie is kinda bad? I mean it's like some/many of the scenes would look better in 16:9, in many scenes foreground object/characters that are in focus are out of frame, it's almost like it was cropped, in intro scene for example with all the fast movements and narrow view with stuff out of it quite often, it's kinda hard to follow. the other 2 movies are in 16:9 as well, it's kinda odd switching with this one.
Sounds awful actually. If anything, the renewed interest and money printing over these movies could motivate them to redo the TV series with modern technology. Which would be wonderful.

Watched it on my HDTV, I wasn't mad at the 2.35:1 aspect ratio myself.anyone else feels that aspect of ratio the movie is kinda bad? All this really shines through in the coheasion of the visuals. The movie has 7 storyboarders, 11 people doing image boards, 2 assistant directors, 3 directors, and 1 chief director. (lol)
When cross-posting goes wrong.I watched the movie a while back and this is pretty much what I thought of it. I was extremely disappointed with how this movie was presented. Ugh.
Evangelion 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo
I'm not going to post in the primary eva thread cuz I dont' want to get bashed by multiple hardcore eva fanatics.
What ever happened toPen Pen!?
